South Bay Community Church

Thoroughly enjoyed the Church, meeting some of its Congregation, and the Awesome Play put on by Jeanette Wills & Company!

I’ve been looking for a church home since relocating from Delaware when I could be spiritually mentally and physically nourished and found it the first visit which was not a service but a Harvest event. Walking in the door greeted by the members speaking to the members but above all I felt Gods presence in this building and this is where God has guided me.

I was deployed to the Bay Area to cover for a colleague whose spouse was going to have surgery in the subsequent week. It turned out that I was asked to stay through the weekend and the first half of the following week. So on Sunday 11/25/19 I googled "churches near me" and SBCC was among those on my search results and after reading the website I knew the Lord had me on the right path (as usual). At the entrance of the building I was greeted at the door by a gentleman with a warm handshake and a friendly smile. I was greeted at the Sanctuary door by an equally friendly younglady and an even friendlier smile if there is such a thing. I was seated in the far left of the stage but had a good line of sight to the people on the stage. The Praise and Worship Team were amazing, singing spirit lifting songs that gave glory to the most High God and I felt my spirit being uplifted and filled with joy! I was feeling a little homesick for my wife and children and this service was just what the Doctor ordered! Service was filled with BIBLE teachings and thats what I enjoyed most of all about the message that was filled with truth, delivered by an anointed man of God. After service I was greeted by several members who recognized me as a visitor and I appreciated the members of this house of God. I recieved a very nice gift and a pleasant conversation from the two ladies at the Welcome center in the main foyer. And then unexpectedly and an added bonus nontheless I was treated to a delicious culinary delight courtesy of Darryl and Dave! There was Baked and Fried Chicken(of which was the Bomb because when I came through the line it was all gone😫 lol) its ok though everything else on the menu changed my diappointment to a joyous celebration sans coq frite. I carried my weighty plate of Baked chicken, Green beans, Mac n Cheese, and dressing with the most delicious and flavorful Holiday gravy I have ever tasted in my life (no offense mom) to a table and fellowshiped with more of the nice people of SBCC. Overall this was a wonderful experience that has set my week off to a great start. Like Pastor said "There are no accidents!"

A wonderful church with very friendly and giving members. I really enjoyed the company of Karen she went Way Beyond my expectations in making me feel welcomed.

Very enlightening and I enjoy the sermons. I have learned and still learning the word and being a doer of the word. I still struggle but I keep pressing on. Thanks to this church Sincerely yours Lashanda Owens
