Terrible. I walked in and the lady treated me like I was lost. I asked if I could send a prescription to a friend who I’ve sent meds to once a month since she moved away a year ago because they don’t have her meds in her new state. UPS has our names in the system because again it’s a monthly occurrence. Instead of just helping me, the lady said she had to go to the back. While I waited I looked at the “mailing station” and it was literally one usps priority mail envelope and nothing else. No ups or fedex envelopes in the boxes with their respective labels. Those boxes were empty The lady then comes back and she’s on the phone trying to mumble so I can’t hear her but I could still hear her telling someone about me sending this She then goes to the back again. Now keep in mind if have the prescription in my hand with the paperwork and even the bag I took it out from in my pocket. I was advised by an actual ups employee to just send the bottle because it will be less weight and thus cheaper Also this is a prescription that needs to be to the person as soon as possible for health reasons. I thought that would be pretty obvious since this mailing station is stationed in an actual pharmacy So after waiting a few more minutes another lady who I assume was the manager approached and ask me “what do you want?” in a very rude tone. I told her that it was prescription I send every month. She turned around and LIED (yes lied) and said she wasn’t allowed to do it. I told her I’ve sent this several times in the past in other locations and she again rudely told me no. She never asked what the prescription was. She didn’t ask to see the paperwork. She just coldly told me no leaving me in a position to rush to an ups store where they sent it with no questions asked and very swiftly since I and the recipient were already in the system. Luckily my friend can get her meds in time no thanks to this establishment Now the part I left out is that I’m a very tall black man. Some have said my size and my longer hair can be intimidating to non-black people. These women were not black (or white or Latino for that matter). Either way their race isn’t important. Now I’m generally one of the last people to play the race card. It’s a dirty tactic. However when something as blatant as this happens it makes me wonder if my presence intimidated them Either way it was horrible service. So horrible that I’m now leaving my first negative review that I’ve ever left on this platform Stop judging people. I’m just as educated as anyone in that pharmacy yet you treated me like a bum off the street. Please do better And if you don’t give me an apology then I’m taking this a step further to the Better Business Bureau. Do better

South Coast Pharmacy is the best! Friendly faces who remember who you are, and they always go above and beyond to make sure that you get what you need. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Amazing pharmacy with lovely and helpful people working here! My first time trying a pharmacy that isn’t one of the big names and I can’t see myself ever using a different pharmacy. I love that they even have some pet supplements too. Actually looking forward to pharmacy visits now!
