Sunflower Vietnamese Cuisine

The food was really good! The vegetarian spring rolls were the highlight of the meal, honestly the best I've had in Austin so far! They were so good that I ended up ordering three! The vanilla flan was also delicious, and the beef pho was flavorful and satisfying. The beef flat noodles were just okay for me, but they still tasted good. The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and has a very welcoming atmosphere. One thing I especially loved is that they decorate with real plants instead of fake ones. It may sound like a small detail, but to me, if they put that much care into maintaining their plants, it reflects the care they put into their food as well. I'll definitely be coming back!

I stopped by Sunflower today and had a really great experience overall. I ordered shaking beef, Tom Rang Muoi - Sunflower Prawns, Banh Xeo, and Bo Ne—Saigon Steak N Eggs and honestly, everything was delicious. The highlight for me was definitely the Tom Rang Muoi - Sunflower Prawns. It was perfectly seasoned, crispy, and super flavorful — I’d rate it a solid 9/10. The other dishes were also very good, around 8/10, with great taste and nice presentation. Service made the experience even better. My server, Chi, was friendly, attentive, and took the time to recommend dishes, which I really appreciated. Overall, a great spot if you’re craving Vietnamese food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I can't belive all these years open and I have never tried their food. Its really good Vietnamese food. We started off with the Banh Xeo, the crispy crepe. It was big, crispy, and filled with pork and shrimp, u can get chicken or beef options too. Eat it with the fresh side of veggies and fish sauce and it was delicious!! Next came the Shaken beef, that was really good as well. Meat was cut cube sized, and was soft and tender, mixed in with thinly sliced onions and the sauce, it was great with a side of rice. And lastly, we finished off with the Sunflower Sea Bass, it was crispy, tender, flavorful and no fish bones. It was so good. My belly definitely left here feel happy! You guys should definitely give the food here a try.

We’ve always said Austin has some good pho and Sunflower makes no exception. Located at the end of a shopping area, Sunflower is a bit unassuming. There’s good parking outside and the inside is simple and down to Earth. It’s a clean place with good service, very ideal for a quick pop in lunch, which is what we did. We only ordered the beef pho but they have a wide array of things on the menu like stir fried noodles and fried rice. The beef pho was delicious with the signature clean tasting broth. Their broth here isn’t as anise forward as many other places, which is actually nice because it feels clean and doesn’t give the after taste that star anise can sometimes leave. The beef was tender and flavorful and the noodles had the perfect texture to them. This is probably in the top 3 of pho places we’ve had in Austin so far and we’re pretty confident you’ll feel the same way when you go and give them a shot!

Sunflower Vietnamese Cuisine is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. The food feels authentic, and the staff is always attentive and welcoming. The menu is thoughtfully curated, and I keep coming back for the Sunflower Prawns with Garlic Noodles—it’s absolutely delicious and always hits the spot. Their noodle soups, fried rice dishes, and stir-fries are consistently flavorful and generously portioned. I’ve never left disappointed. Love this place and will definitely keep coming back! ❤️🍜🦐
