Sunshine Massage

Had a 60 minute massage. Kiki did an amazing job! Thorough and professional. I lift heavy cases all day. My neck and shoulders were in a lot of pain. She massaged every muscle. So glad I went!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience was not a good one. This was my first time booking a massage through ClassPass, and I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed in the app. When I checked in, there seemed to be a language barrier and some confusion about my appointment. I was then taken to a room but wasn’t given any instructions before the staff member left. Since it was my first time there, I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do. When she returned, I was still dressed because I genuinely didn’t know how to prepare. I also never learned the name of the person performing the massage, as she never introduced herself. In fact, I initially thought she was only the receptionist, and it wasn’t until later that I realized she would also be performing the massage. The massage itself was much more aggressive than expected. I mentioned several times that the pressure was too strong and that it was hurting, but the intensity never seemed to change. Throughout the session, whenever I made any sound or reacted to the pain, she would ask if I was okay. The problem was that I had already explained multiple times that the pressure was too much. I didn’t want to spend the entire massage repeatedly complaining or feeling like a difficult client, so I eventually stopped saying anything, even though I was uncomfortable the entire time. Instead of feeling relaxed, I spent the session tense and unable to enjoy the experience. The scalp massage was especially rough. My head was sore afterward, and I still had a headache the next day. My scalp was so tender that even washing and brushing my hair was uncomfortable. Most concerning, a literal handful of hair came out immediately after the massage. I’ve never experienced anything like that after a massage before. The hot stones were also far too hot for comfort and felt more painful than relaxing. Today, my back is sore, I have bruising in several areas, and I am still dealing with discomfort from the session. I understand that some clients enjoy very deep pressure, but even after communicating multiple times that it was too much for me, my feedback didn’t seem to be taken into account. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but I feel it’s important to share my honest experience so that others know what to expect. Unfortunately, this was not a relaxing massage, and I would not return.

YoYo! It's the best! Don’t walk… run 🏃 now. I am not sure why I waited so long to treat myself. Heck, you know what. I feel like what she just did is now a necessity for my self-care. She was so good with her hands and so kind with her words. I can not say enough good things about this woman I just met. And they have punch cards?!? I will definitely be running 🏃‍♀️ back soon. Julie was great, one of the best massages I’ve had, 90 min with hot stones. Also very fair pricing. I tried Sunshine on a whim because I decided last minute Friday night that I wanted a massage Saturday. They got me in and I’ll definitely be coming back despite it being 45 min from my house. Very worth the drive. Thank you!
