0 Stars, Would NOT recommend - Questionable Pricing/Biz Practices I love the idea of an independently owned local biz corner store. Had a few normal experiences here when The 3rd Little Pig first opened, but things seem to be declining. The level of general organization in the store is not great and the off putting smell of wet dog has increased and permeates the place. Recently I experienced very shady pricing here which means I won't be back. What happened? I had a craving for a candy bar and decided to walk down to The 3rd Little Pig. After some time looking inside the store, I finally found it, the regular sized Twix bar I came there for and I verified the marked price. At the register, the price the store owner verbally gave me did not match the price on the shelf and in fact was closer to the cost of a king sized Twix than the regular sized one I was trying to buy. I politely mentioned to the owner his marked prices were different than what he was verbally telling me and I physically referenced the price on the shelf sign. (This was his opportunity to change his story but he doubled down on a lie.) He proceeded with some slippery explanation about not being like QFC and able to keep accurate prices on his goods because of a small staff. It makes no sense that as a store owner your prices are not as marked, and customers should expect to pay some random and inflated number you come up with at the register. I should have left the item there at that moment and left. I kept expecting him to realize how improbable he sounded and course correct. He didn't. On top of this inflated base price, I paid a credit card transaction fee. The price he quoted me was greater than the nominal cash I had on my person. I know some shops have gone to passing credit card transaction fees to their customers. I find this practice annoying but its nothing unfamiliar. Needless to say I was aghast at the whole transaction. I went down for a little treat and felt fleeced. The icing on the cake was this overpriced candy bar was stale! I shop where there is full transparency about what I'm paying and will take my business to the other convenience stores in the neighborhood where you can trust the marked merch prices are what you will pay at the register.

The older man whom I’m assuming is the owner kicked my kid out when all she was doing was smelling shampoo to purchase for herself. She has been there MULTIPLE TIMES with the same man as cashier and just because she was walking around and …

I had the same experience as a previous customer. Pricing was $4.29 for powder sugar and he charged me 7.50! I said that didn’t match and he told me hadn’t updated the price. Super shady. I showed him the repo se of another customer and he said he’d give my money back. Don’t ship here.

Please be careful while shopping here! I've lived in the Seattle neighborhood my whole life (34yrs), and have never had to argue or question pricing/ discounts, but here they made me feel like I was traveling in a foreign land when they tendered my items. In addition, the receipt was not itemized nor did it reflect accurate tax amounts. I'm not trying to say the owners aren't nice, I'm saying say that they are doing shady business so be extra careful- forewarning don't get taken advantage of.... like me. :)

We just moved into the area and this store really makes us feel at home. Eddie is super sweet and welcoming, especially towards our pup which is another plus about this place - dog friendly! We’ve made it a point to stop in here daily …
