The Nail Bar

there were a lot of things i noticed while getting my nails done here. 1. the staff and their customer service im not trying to complain here, but the staff is pretty rough on your hands, and it might make your hands hurt, twitch, feel like they're burning, or feel irritated. the first time i went here i got acrylic nails, and when they were put in the UV ray device thing to harden my nails, my nails felt like they were burning. the instruments they use sometimes hurt your skin, because when i came here yesterday, they were cutting the cuticle skin, they cut part of my skin and it started bleeding. i do not recommend this place to people with sensitive skin or hands. the staff who work here also speak to each other in their own language, and im not trying to be rude, or try not to make them speak their own language, but i honestly feel uncomfortable while they talk to each other, and they laugh a lot and it makes me think they're making fun of or judging their clients, because look, if someone talks in another language, they dont want you to hear them and they make it so you dont understand, and they can talk about whatever they'd like, so it just gives off that feeling of uneasiness while they communicate and laugh with each other. i would like to add on another note that i was left under a heat fan for like, 20 minutes, and they didn't even bother to check up on me. i never knew that i was done until i asked another staff member if i was done. it's really weird how they didn't even care to tell me i'm done and my stylist was just wandering around the place and running errands. 2.sanitary, cleanliness, and atmosphere when i came in here, i was getting my nails cleaned and my nails were gonna be painted a color, so i had to choose one. there was a whole wall and display of colors, and they weren't in order of colors, so i had to look around for a few minutes to get a color i liked. the place was very neat with furniture and decor, but i wish they organized the nail paints correctly to make it a bit better. when i sat down in the chair to start the process, i noticed the nail instruments were inside this jar of water, and leaving metal in water would get rust on the metal, right? i thought that was pretty odd, and if there was rust on the metal and you got a cut like me, guess what happens? you get an infection. i also noticed that there were some stains on the towels they put your hands on, and thats kind of off. that shows the towels haven't been cleaned properly. when i was getting my hands put under the heat fan, one of the staff members was sweeping the floor, and i literally, kid you not, saw a cotton ball with a heavy amount of blood on it. and who knows how long that was under there? that's nasty. i recommend not going here, because my experience was awful. try and find another place, just somewhere that's not here, because my expectations dropped. i feel like all they want to do is get the job done, get the money, and go. i will not come back here again.

I came on a Thursday afternoon. The atmosphere was quiet and calming. I got the European pedicure, and it was amazing. The nail tech spent her time, and didn’t rush at all. She also used slow movements with her massage… I really appreciated that. I hate when they put salt scrub on and dig into your skin with fast movements. This was a great first time experience!

We just moved to Irvine and I needed to find a nail place for my mom and myself that could be gentle on her feet because they are very sensitive. She had been going to her previous place for over 16 years so finding a place she would like was going to be a task. I'm really glad that we found The Nail Bar. Hannah worked on her feet and did a great job. In fact my mom didn't flinch once and that was impressive since she's always struggled with people who do her feet. She was gentle with her and even got an ingrown toe nail for her and my mom didn't cry out. Michelle worked on her manicure and did a great job getting them exactly like my mom wanted. As for me, I got a standard pedicure and tried something new, a dip manicure. Both were excellent, Anna did a great job. The price was reasonable and the service was great. I'm glad to have found her a new nail place on my first try because it was not going to be easy. They also got us a same-day appointment, thankfully.

I feel so lucky to have the Nail Bar in Irvine. I have been going to the Nail Bar for 10 years. The salon is welcoming and warm, I am always greeted with a friendly “hello”. I tell friends, it is our own Irvine “Cheers”- where everyone knows your name. The technicians are highly professional, their work is art and finished to perfection. The prices are very reasonable and they have a wonderful selection of colors. The salon is extremely clean, they always use a liner in the foot bath. I highly recommend the Nail Bar!
