The Nook Spa

Everything was clean and nice but my person was wearing latex gloves the whole time and in all my years of doing massages, I have NEVER had anyone wear gloves for a Massage. I don’t know if this is a policy or why they do that, but maybe check and ask the client first so they’re aware or have a choice to keep gloves or not. But yeah it was not pleasant, it felt like just rubber rubbing against your skin and burned when they’re over here trying to “massage” you. I don’t understand the reasoning for it personally. You’re in the wrong industry if you can’t touch people during massages. But just my feedback I personally would Never come back and it’s expensive for a bad experience

Today was my first and last time going to the Nook. The girl at the front desk was super friendly, but other than that it was not a good experience. The massage wasn’t great. It felt like she was rushing through it. It was more of a rub down with oil than a massage. What really bothered me was that she was wearing gloves. I don’t know if they were latex or nylon or what material but they felt AWFUL. It was like having two plastic balloons rubbed all over your skin. It didn’t feel good and it made my skin itchy afterwards. I think you should definitely ask your customers their preference on this. It honestly felt more like a hospital experience than a spa experience.

I have been having intense upper/middle back and shoulder pain for several weeks, which has become increasingly more acute. When Joy came into my room, I informed her that this area was why I was coming in and she got to WORK on relieving the tension. Of my 80 minute deep-tissue massage, she spent a good 50 minutes very intentionally working through knots around my upper back, creating more relief than I have felt in weeks. I appreciate her being willing to change up the standard massage “outline” to meet more of my specific needs and for her consistent communication and requests for my feedback. She made me feel incredibly comfortable and I guarantee I will be returning when I need her services again.

Kai is a wizard! I’ve been seeing him for about two years now, through both of my pregnancies. Every massage visit is wonderful, and I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend! ✨

My girlfriend and I had an enjoyable, relaxing experience at Nook Spa for the Couples Eternal Love Wellness Massage + Hot Stones + CBD Boost - 60 Minutes. This was a 60 minute Swedish massage for $270. We were both introduced to the art of backwalking, which my masseuse deftly and skillfully performed. I thought the masseuses were professional and responsive as well. Additionally, we were offered complimentary champagne after the massage ended. We both agreed the service was pleasant and we would be open to another massage in the future. The only reason I’ve removed a star is that, for whatever reason, my bed wasn’t heated but my girlfriend’s bed was. In hindsight, I probably should have brought it up to the masseuse but I only realized mid-massage. Regardless, shoutout to Natasha for the great service and massages!
