I been coming here for years, when I have a chance I’ll come add more pictures from us celebrating throughout the years. This pass visit to purchase a capricho I was approached by the rudest person. Didn’t get her name but obviously she was new. So she asked what topping and I simply said strawberries, but then I asked if she was going to add the cajeta and she’s responded by saying well you should’ve said because we normally do that first then the fruit. Ok well they never asked before if I would like cajeta, they automatically did it. So she only did four strips of cajeta and I told her they normally do another set horizontally to give that squares all over cake. Well this is the mess she gave me. Then when proceeded to go back and forth with the cashier about it. That’s not how they showed her to do it and that it would be extra. I told both that it was fine, and because of her service of the new employee that it would be my last. Thank you Sweet G cakes are great but for that service I could’ve gone to HEB and they would’ve treated me better and without hesitation they would’ve help to replicate a picture of cake if I was to show them inspiration. Employee was simply rude and confrontational. I always go out my way to make sure all my family gets this cake when requested throughout the years and I make the drive for this delicious cake mind u it’s always $55+ depending on how many ppl we have attending birthday dinners , we buy the bigger cake sometimes. Come here at least 8 times out the year. I will not be returning….. I haven’t been back since this review, my mom went yesterday and was also attended by rude dark complexion lady. Cakes are so expensive and I was always willing to support since they’ve opened but after these two incidents now I’ll never step foot here…

I’ve ordered before with this bakery and my first experience was bad . I gave it the benefit of the doubt because it was just due to a rude employee. Whom no longer works there after 1 week of my order. However, I ordered once again for my sons 6th birthday this past week. I specifically told them I wanted a marble cake, with strawberry jam filling. When I cut into the cake, I was disappointed to see natural strawberries , and vanilla cake. It was not what I ordered. However the cake decoration was. The flavoring was not and I was truly disappointed.

I stopped by for macaroons. I walked in and asked do you have macaroons. Sent me to a table and I grabbed a half dozen which on the menu says $13.50 When I was rung up by cashier she charged me $20 I asked for a receipt and she couldn’t print me one. I hate a place that has prices on the menu but then create their own price at the register.

I’m very disappointed with the customer service we received yesterday. My sister went in to get a slice of cake, and the two women working were extremely rude and acted like they didn’t want to help. We’ve been coming here for years to buy desserts, so this experience was really upsetting. My sister simply asked if she could add toppings, and instead of helping, the employee responded with an attitude, saying she should have mentioned it earlier. There’s no reason to treat customers that way. If someone doesn’t want to do their job, they shouldn’t take it out on the people supporting the business. We’ve always enjoyed coming here, but after this experience, we won’t be returning. Very disrespectful and disappointing.

Bad cake, bad service Cashier was unprofessional and dismissive. After asking how she could help me, she quickly got distracted by a young gentlemen who needed to check out. Then, was too busy REPEATEDLY asking him how old she looked to finish helping me. (she’s 40 in case anyone is wondering) My order was lost, then found, then lost again, then found again. Toppings were missing. I was told I was wrong. Then I was told I was in fact correct. The writing on the cake gave me second hand embarrassment. Food coloring bled all over the ribbon. They were ready to send me out the door with this ribbon on a plain white cake & a $60 price tag on it. Couldn’t take a picture because they took it back before I had a chance. Owner was apologetic and kind. Returned PART of my payment. Buuut then I got to the party and the cake was stale. Nobody finished their slice (and we’re not picky). Milk was all over the bag and throughout the base like it had been sitting for a long time. Very disappointing because I love supporting small businesses.
