Trung Nguyen E-Coffee

I heard a lot of hype about Trung Nguyen’s E Coffee, so of course we had to stop by during our Houston Lunar New Year trip! It’s located in a popular plaza in Chinatown so there’s plenty of parking spaces in the lot. The inside is a bit small, but really cute and aesthetic. We went on an early Sunday morning, yet it was already packed with people! We ordered from their touch screen kiosk, but service was still nice when they gave us our drinks. We got their popular Large Iced Black Sesame Cream Phin Coffee with less ice ($7.50) and their Medium Iced Coconut Cream Phin Coffee with less ice ($6.50). Their Cocount Cream coffee was delicious! I can definitely taste the coconuty flavor when I drank it. Coffee was pretty strong, but that’s how I like it, as for their Black Sesame coffee, I was slightly disappointed because I could barely taste the sesame flavor until I raised my straw up. The coffee was still good, but it lacked the sesame flavor which was what I was looking forward to while ordering it. Overall, a pretty solid Viet coffee shop in the area. Next time I come back to Houston, I might give the Black Sesame coffee another chance.

The coffee here is very consistent, every time we come, our drinks come out the same quality. I love the self order machine, as that makes it easy to quickly order. The staff also takes orders and are pretty friendly and answer questions about the menu. They also sometimes write a nice message on the cup, which is a cute detail to add. The matcha here is pretty good, and I enjoy the variations available for the iced matcha. Do note that the seating is plenty but fills quickly.

I visited Trung Nguyen Legend Café in Houston and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The café has a calm, elegant atmosphere — modern yet cozy — making it a perfect spot to relax, read, or catch up with friends. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee with sesame cream, and it was absolutely incredible. The flavor was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced between bold coffee notes and the nutty, slightly sweet sesame cream topping. It’s one of the most unique and satisfying coffee drinks I’ve had in Houston!

My friend liked her sesame coffee, the top was good, but the coffee is strong if you’re not got used to Vietnamese coffee. The Coconut Match Cloud is the real disappointing one though, since I have tried many Coconut Matcha from a lot of places, even bought the small set to make it at home, so this coconut matcha is not what I expect like it should be. The coconut water is bland, you don’t feel the freshness of the coconut juice, it’s like it’s been out for so many days… there are a lot of other drinks look good, decent price, try them, not the coco matcha for sure

I heard this location had very good Vietnamese coffee with several different cream options such as the cream flavor toppings like black sesame and coconut etc that you don't typically find at many places so that was nice! If you like Vietnamese coffee then im sure you'll like the coffee here. I tried the coconut cream coffee and to me the mix wasn't too sweet or too strong it was perfect for my liking. This place makes a good quick stop for coffee for sure!
