UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay

This is for the lack of communication between offices at the hospital. There is no cohesiveness or notes for other people answering phones when speaking to one person over the phone. No one knows who the heck you are when contacting the UCSF line. It's awful. You have to constantly re-explain the situation. Providers don't have any clue who you are when you contact them either. You'd think at a hospital this large and supposedly with good reviews it would be a little more technologically advanced. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and I have no idea who my obgyn is or will be. It sucks to feel this alone without much care of who will be looking into my vagina when the time comes. Just a bunch of strangers

Best hospital, doctors, and nurses truly. I am writing this while recovering from endometriosis excision surgery, and the care I received here has been nothing short of exceptional. The team here is truly unparalleled. A huge thank you to Dr. Zhang, Dr. Adam, and Dr. Woodson for their incredible care, and to Dr. Lim for her wonderful anesthesia skills and perfectly timed jokes beforehand. And last but absolutely not least, Farah, the best RN I have ever met. She went above and beyond to help me get up and moving, manage my pain and breathing, and explain everything with such calm expertise and kindness. I am so grateful to have been in her care. Any future patient will be incredibly lucky to have her as their RN. She truly is the best.

The UCSF Ophthalmology Department seriously needs to overhaul its scheduling and management systems. My doctor told me to return in 3 months, yet the hospital arbitrarily pushed my follow-up to 6 months — completely disregarding the medical recommendation. The scheduling system is disorganized and frustrating, showing a total lack of coordination between staff and physicians. To make matters worse, I had to remind the doctor myself to check my eye pressure, which should be a basic part of an eye exam. The doctor seemed disinterested and disengaged, leaving me with no confidence in the care I was receiving.

This is the forth time I've been left without call button and it's been one hou andr 20 minutes left in pee in bed I don't understand because shift change was over a hour ago it's 8.20am I was choking on my breakfast I couldn't call the emergency button has been kept away from me four times Ithe nurses are really nice and professional the doctors are phenomenal and saved my life (salt of the earth ok. But this not having access to the emergency call button needs to be seriously addressed&investigated I could of died today choking and being left in pee four times over 1hour&half is cruel inhumaine I think who ever doing it is the same person taking call button away from my reach &leaving me in pee don't they have cameras outside rooms to find out who is responsible I could of choked to death. Died other patients don't need this also so please send a serious investigation it's inhumaine cruel and possibly attempted murder and it's un eceptable I'm calling the police

This is top tier facility, state of the art technology! We think so highly of UCSF as a whole that we travel 2+ hours to receive the best cute!Have had great experience's at UCSF on Parnasus with the births of two of our younger children. So we were really delighted at the opportunity to birth or twin boys. Five stars hands done from doctors, nurses, housekeeping, food service workers and so on, any and everyone we encountered in the 7 month period was two thumbs up!
