Uptown Spa

Best nail service I've had in a long time! Bernice is meticulous in her care of your nails. She doesn't beat up cuticles, which is a nice change from most salons here. I love the quiet, spa environment. I take advantage of the whirlpools and dry sauna.

I came to Uptown Spa after receiving a Groupon for the signature manicure+pedicure plus Waterhouse access... this place is really great! Bernice typically works alone so be aware that this isn't a place you should bring a friend/ group of girls along for a nail day... but that shouldn't discourage you from going because Bernice is the best! She's so friendly and you can tell she cares about her work and she does a fabulous job. Plus it was really relaxing having the room to myself! At most nail salons you have people all over this place but Uptown Spa was calm and just what I needed to wind down from my week. Also, I didn't even get gel nails and somehow a basic polish has lasted me a full week without a noticeable chip... I don't know what Bernice does differently that kept it on so well but I love it! Oh! And the Waterhouse access is nice too! You get a full hour to use their Jacuzzi/ Steam Room/ Sauna Rooms. But the manicure + pedicure were what made this place great. I highly recommend Uptown Spa/ Bernice.

After reading the reviews I was skeptical about the spa. However, I had a great experience. I arrived early and Bernice got me right in for my manicure and pedicure. She was very friendly and did an awesome job on both services. Following, I spent a few hours using the Waterhouse at the spa. It was clean and very relaxing. I will be returning to the spa. Tip: If you don't want to park in the garage - I would recommend street parking or utilizing the lot across the street.

I do not recommend going to this place. The lady who did my nails was very sweet and easy to talk to. However, I walked in with a $49 voucher. The appointment was set for a $29 shellac manicure and a $35 express pedicure. When going to pay, she argued that I owe another 30 for the ped. She said you could not combine specials, although I only had the one for the manicure and only received the expressed pedicure treatment which she tried to get away with calling a "special". After arguing that the appointment was set for what it was, she still wanted the payment. The equipment there is very old. They aren't real pedicure chairs as she brought in a plastic tub to stick my feet in. It is not a comfortable environment. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. They probably over charge just to be able to pay the rent.

This place is so relaxing! Bernice is so welcoming and takes such good care of you. I absolutely loved my mani & pedi treatment. Everything was so nice and clean, very sanitary. I recommend this place to anyone looking to pamper themselves!
