Had a great experience with Lymaris! These photos do not do her work justice. It was such a pleasure getting my partial dimensional lightening done with her. She was on time, kind, knowledgeable, and straightforward with my expectations vs what I could expect as a result. What I appreciated most was how my appointment was scheduled from 9-12 and she was committed and prompt with that timeline. And of course, as a result of her work, I have beautifully blended hair. Highly recommend and will be back for my next session.

I had a great experience with Yumi. She did a very pretty shade of blonde, and followed exactly what we discussed before. She really cares about the quality of her work, and wouldn’t let me step out until we got the best results. She is really responsive on IG, I found it easy to book my appointment with her. Yumi is a kind and polite person, I felt very comfortable in her company.

This was the worst, most unprofessional salon experience I’ve ever had, not just due to the damage, but the retaliation that followed. I went to” business name yumi Nguyen beauty llc.” I came in with healthy, previously lightened hair. It was only dry because she told me to use clarifying shampoo beforehand. They’ll try to say I “insisted on going blonde,” but that was never the case. I came in fully willing to walk away. After a strand test, she said everything looked good and promised a blonding service that would protect already processed areas and weave out the lightened hair. Instead, she overlapped bleach. I left with blotchy color and a large patch of severe breakage. My hair was gummy, overprocessed, and falling out in clumps. She never told me. She left mid-appointment to pick up her daughter, and I discovered the damage myself. When I calmly brought it up, she suddenly blamed it on BLONDE box dye from 3 years ago. That excuse was later dismissed by two experienced stylists who confirmed the damage was caused by negligence, not old color. The appointment lasted over 10 hours. I was subjected to unsolicited comments about politics, race, and her own grudges. It was inappropriate and deeply unprofessional, but I stayed polite, hoping the results would be worth it. They weren’t. The next day, after seeing the damage she’d done, I sent her an emotional but private message. She retaliated by publicly posting a photo of my hair without consent, along with my name and phone number. She later claimed she had written consent, but I signed nothing. I sent a cease and desist letter, she ignored it and kept the photo up, rewriting the caption using AI to sound intelligent. Very manipulative. She made me feel unsafe. Anyone willing to ignore legal boundaries should not be trusted near your body or hair. When I contacted the salon owner, she dismissed everything, including the racial remarks, and defended the stylist. She tried (and failed) to paint the hair stylist as a victim, despite ME being the one harmed, and despite my documentation. When they respond to this review, pay attention. They’ll shift blame, crop screenshots, say “I’m sorry you feel this way,” or falsely claim I “harassed” her with an emotional message, which I have every right to send under the law. they’re the ones harassing me removing my content, posting my number and name, leaving up my hair photo without consent, and encouraging 5-star reviews to bury the truth. That’s their pattern, also beware of odd reviews that was conveniently placed right after I made my review, Saying that to be “honest” with your hair history, and that they’re “in love with yumi” Not only creepy but false. I was very honest with my Hair history. The fact is that she overlapped my hair because she was too worried about picking up her daughter and she was rushing. She’s very unprofessional, weird, creepy, hateful and I would never ever ever recommend her. Save your hair. Do not go to her. I’ve saved every message, every screenshot, and filed a formal complaint with TDLR and she was found to be guilty of gross negligence; which just proves my points. If this review is removed, I’ll repost it. If you value your hair, peace, and privacy do not sit in this chair. “yumi Nguyen” is a bully, and made me feel very unsafe and retaliated against. If you’re looking for a place a professional place, this is definitely not it. Edit After my appointment on May 7, I learned that Vera Hair Co. (where this stylist operates) had an expired establishment license at the time of my service. The license had been expired since April 19 and wasn’t renewed until June 16 over two months later. This information is public and listed on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) website. I’m sharing this for other clients to make informed decisions. Chemical services require proper licensing and responsibility, especially when hair health and safety are at risk. They have removed my review 12x at this point. She’s so obsessed with having it removed, They do not want the truth out.

Gabi did an excellent job on my hair and took her time with it, too. All the girls were also very attentive and kept asking me if I needed anything to drink or snack on. I had stubborn purple color in the front of my hair that I had done a few months ago at another salon, and Gabi did everything she could to remove as much of it as she could. I was going for a caramel balayage at first, but unfortunately my hair did not want to budge despite Gabi's efforts. We settled on a darker chocolate balayage that I also love, which will fade with time. She also gave me some solid advice as to what products to use on my hair. I had such a wonderful experience with Lymaris! She did an amazing job with my shampoo and haircut. The shampoo was relaxing and left my hair feeling clean and soft, and the haircut came out exactly how I wanted it. Lymaris is friendly, professional, and clearly skilled at what she does. I walked out feeling refreshed and confident. Highly recommend her if you want a great haircut and overall experience!
