Đăng nhập để đánh giáI wanted quiche this morning and felt I should see what else is out there besides La Madeleine. I found this place on GrubHub and ordered several things to get an idea of the quality of their food. The large vanilla latte was excellent, no problem there. The blueberry scone was fresh and although I only pinched a small bite from it, I could tell it was moister and more flavorful than most, well done! I wanted to try the Chocolate Kouign Amann, since I had no idea what it was, lol. It was packed with chocolate, but it wasn't fresh, the wonderful flaky pastry was rock hard. And now the quiche - I wanted SO much to love it - it was bursting with ham and the pastry looked lovely. But the pastry was SO hard that I couldn't even cut into it! I wanted to eat it with a fork but had to pick it up to bite the top part, since it was like wood. And the entire bottom of the quiche was drenched - when I bit into a bite from the lower part, all this water came squirting out - every bite that touched the bottom part of it was squirting water! I was so grossed out, why was this happening? Unlike my fave place La Madeleine, they only send you a slice, so sadly that was my one and only experience with Village Bakery quiche. Really wish it would have been better.
Village Baking Company is such a cute spot! It’s super reasonably priced—two coffees and a cookie for just $11? Absolute steal. Super friendly workers too. The shop itself is cozy and inviting, with so many delicious-looking pastry options to choose from. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu. This place is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
It was a pleasure to stop by this area early on a Thursday morning for coffee and some goodies. Everything was delicious. I would recommend the bacon cheese croissant and the almond croissant! We had a great, relaxing and comfortable experience.
Phenomenal pastries! We got the almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and blueberry scone and all of them were so fresh, flakey, and delicious. Will definitely be back for more! Update: Visited again and ordered a honey latte this time. It was delicious, especially for a place that specializes in pastries not coffee. They have matcha on the menu too which I would like to try.
The strawberry croissants are divine and the service from JENNIFER specifically (though I applaud the whole team) is even more superior. Good people making and sharing even better baked goods. I’ll also throw in the fruit tart as an honorable mention—they NAIL that pastry crust without it being too crumbly, hard, or sweet. Well done, Village! Stop in when you can!
