Vincent Nguyen McColm, MD

Dr. McColm has a beautiful personality. He's very easy to talk to, and he's very detailed when explaining the issues you're having to where you really understand the plans he wants to set in motion to help resolve the issues.I like him a lot. I'm glad I chose WellMed. I'm happy he's there.

Visits with Dr. McColm are still great - but administration staff/nurse follow-up are non-existent! Not sure if the disconnect is with WellMed or the office staff - but there is one!

Dr. McColm is the best pediatrician available near Irving area. We have been seeing Dr. McColm since my son's birth till we moved away from this area. All his visits are amazing and the best part is his diagnosis and the way he explains it. He never rush and gives us lot of time to explain our concerns. He is exceptionally great.

Our family really lucked out when we met Dr. McColm at the hospital when our first son was born. He truly listens to any concern you might have. I love that no question is a bad question one- because boy when I was new Mom I was out of it with my own medical issues. He takes his time to answer/explain to where you understand. He genuinely cares about you as an entire family, respects your parenting choices and is sincere. Both my kids absolutely love him!

Unfortunately I have to give a 1 Star. I have been a patient of Dr. Vincent McColm since roughly 2007. Dr. McColm is a great physician who genuinely cares about his patients. He asks questions to gain further understanding about patients lifestyles to help make sure they have a sustainable healthy lifestyle. The practice use to be part of USMD but was taken over by WellMed I believe in 2025. Since taken over by WellMed the office has taken a nose dive. Example: the office moved locations sometime in the last 6 months, WellMed sends out appointment notifications via text, call and email as well as an option to virtually check-in. None of these notified me that they had moved locations nor was I notified when I scheduled the appointment leaving me showing up to an old location. Pretty ridiculous in 2026. Example 2: I showed up for my appointment on 1/8/26, checked in virtually, then had to check-in at the counter. I checked-in and paid a co-pay. I was then called back to the counter and notified that the office no longer accepted my insurance plan. I was never notified prior to standing at the check-in desk that they no longer took my insurance plan. Frustrated, I asked the woman why no one notified me prior to coming when they confirmed the appointment over and over again. She replied which some snarky answer “its not my fault.” I then asked how she collected a “co-pay” when they don’t accept my insurance, she didn’t have a good answer and told me “she didn’t have to continue talking to me.” Extremely unprofessional and it’s unfortunate to see that type of person representing Dr. McColm. I hate to have to change my PCP after nearly 20 years but I guess this is what happens when an insurance company monopolizes healthcare providers placing profit before patients.
