Winchell's Donut House

Buttermilk donut that I loved as a kid, back then the donut was big and had this valley down the center leaning to one side more than the other, soft and the glaze was the best. Today I bought the Buttermilk Glazed Donut, worst Donut I have tasted in a sea of donut shops. Winchell's looks like you won't be around much longer, when your employees don't know how important to make quality donuts is, for the price you charge, I rather go to Vons in the same parking lot & buy their donuts. I am so sad today.

If you are at Disneyland and looking for an affordable place to get a family breakfast check out the Winchells. Super fresh yummy donuts made old school. Great breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Very affordable compared to other options. Worth a quick drive! Nice service too

Went in the evening around 7 or so... there was a handful of people. got in and out pretty quick. Ordered some donuts and took advantage of the lunch deal. I had the chicken torta w chips. The torta was pretty good. Everything was perfect. Would definitely come again.

Winchell’s Donut House located at 12951 W Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840 is open 24 hours! Service was quick and friendly. The donuts I got had an oil taste to them which I did not prefer. They have lots of different flavors, toppings etc which is great. Both donuts did have that oily taste, so not sure why or if that is just how they are. I’d work on that……legendary chain, so I had my hopes high. Located in the Von’s Grocery store shopping center.

My wife and I stopped by this Winchell for lunch because we were in the plaza at Vons to get some flowers. I wanted a bagel and looked on their website first that they actually sell bagels. When we came they were not busy at all. I saw some donuts out and some bagel but didn't see any blueberry bagel so I asked the lady working if they had any and she said they do. So I got my blueberry bagel, toasted and asked for cream cheese on the side. My wife got her Mac and cheese crossiant. We waited inside for them to call our number. When I looked at my receipt, I saw that the cream cheese is price more than my blueberry bagel which surprise me. Sitting inside of Winchell isn't ideal because it's humid and feels like they didn't have the AC on. When our order was ready, we ate it inside since we got a table. They have limited seating inside here. I thought my bagel was over toasted and didn't taste that good compared to another bagel shop I go to. My wife thought her Mac and cheese crossiant was too greasy so she couldn't finish it. I think you're safe with going with donuts here.
