Yama Kitchen Pasadena

I had the chance to try Yama Kitchen in Pasadena for the first time recently, and I came away very impressed. From the moment I walked in, the service was friendly and welcoming. My server was training a new employee during my visit, but you would hardly have known it. Both of them did a great job, stayed attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was the real highlight of the experience. Everything I ordered was fresh, flavorful, and prepared well. The menu offers a great selection of dishes, making it easy to find something you'll enjoy whether you're a regular fan of this type of cuisine or trying it for the first time. I travel quite a bit and eat at restaurants like this all over the country, so I have plenty to compare it to. After this visit, Yama Kitchen has easily earned a spot in my top three favorites. The quality of the food, the variety of menu options, and the excellent service all stood out. It's not often that a restaurant leaves such a positive first impression, but Yama Kitchen definitely did. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in Pasadena and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and a welcoming atmosphere.

Myself and three of my friends came here tonight and three of us had the pleasure of enjoying it for the first time. The atmosphere was wonderful. The server that we had Julian did an amazing job not only with this service, but welcoming us as well. He explained how everything had went and how everything goes. All of us did enjoy ourselves Julian please keep up the amazing work that you do. We greatly appreciated your service and help with explaining everything again brother we greatly appreciate it.

This was my first visit with my family member. The person serving us was amazing. I went Wednesday it is all you can eat. I act more with my eyes than my stomach. I understand to extent, because we asked just to not waste food to take the left overs home. The manager after talking to our waitress when we asked walked by our table and said we had to pay which I was fine with it but the waitress said she would ask her boss it would be 5 dollars. I saw ask him. He acted like he www walking by subtle at all. Bet the waitress in front of the table right in front of ours. Mind you we paid 100 dollars because he deemed that we had to much. We only order at most 2 rolls for my guest ordered salmon and octopus we only order a couple things to grill. And we tipped because know it is not the waitress fault. She even asked us if it was our first time. Will never go back. This is what we ordered and maybe a couple things from the bar. It was poor management.

I’m usually not a big fan of “cook-it-yourself” style restaurants, but this place really impressed me. The tonkatsu ramen was excellent—honestly on par with some of my favorite dedicated ramen spots. They also offer buffet-style options that the kids absolutely loved, and the all-you-can-eat setup is very reasonably priced. The service made the experience even better. Anna-Marie was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and never rushed us at all. She even offered to send the robot over to say “Hi,” which the kids thought was amazing. It made the whole visit feel fun and memorable for the family. If you’re thinking about trying this place, I highly recommend it—you won’t regret it. P.S. If it’s your child’s birthday, Pikachu comes out to celebrate, which was a huge hit!

May 21st, 2026... Had such an awesome crew this wk. From my Captain CA Tom, our First Officer FO Dan and my FA2 Lexye. Being our last worxn scheduled layover here in HOU (Houston, TX) known in the foodie world for their unique and diverse food experiences along w/ the top restraunts in existence we juz had to try this place. Honestly it had us at all-you-can-eat sushi and Korean BBQ 😋. Heads up they had Pikachu w/ the working staff come out to sing happy birthday to one of the young customers dining w/ his ohana (family). The Pikachu was sweet and even let me and my crew take picz and posed w/ us and did couple selfies even though it wasn't our birthday 😅lol. I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to visiting again in the very near future. This is probably gonna be one of my personal top recommendations to-date for anyone and everyone of all ages to have their own personal experience here at Yama! You will not be disappointed..., at least we weren't. Overall we had an PHENOMENAL time. Everything from the pleasant welcoming and working staff, the delicious food, fresh protein/ veggies & ingredients served, to the flavorful cocktails, the side buffet, delicious and eye pleasing sushi rolls and the unique dining option tiers they have. Keep in mind the dessert is included. 3 out of the 4 of us chose to enjoy a lil' sweet treat of a very subtle green tea ice-cream. It was creamy, light, satisfying and yummy. Yama Kitchen Pasadena definitely lived up to a foodiez expectation(s) while visiting the city of Houston.
