Sign in to reviewI really like this place. Highly recommend! As a Mexican pan dulce and bolillo eater… this place serves a different kind of taste. We got the taro, savory potato filling bread and cheese grill sandwich. Taro late. Everything was great! It’s a Great spot to stop if local or visiting. Long standing Taiwanese bakery with a few locations around town. Get a few pieces of bread a drink and enjoy the taste.
I found this cafe on Google during my trip to LA because of its strong reviews, and I absolutely loved it. I tried the breads, strawberry short cake, and coffee, and everything was beyond my expectations. I was specifically looking rich coffee in Koreatown and I tried the ones people talked about on IG and TikTok, but nothing met my standards except this place. I come here every day while I am in LA. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I wanted to leave them a tip, but unfortunately I did not have cash with me. I also noticed that some customers were quite demanding, even though the service was exceptional. 100/100 for this cafe!
This bakery proudly serves an impressive array of baked goods, featuring delicious cakes, fluffy buns, fresh breads, delightful tarts, enticing cookies, and satisfying sandwiches. They also offer unique Asian-inspired desserts, strong coffee, and a selection of other beverages at great prices. We enjoyed a robust hot latte and a refreshing iced coffee that hit the spot. The blueberry tart and ube bun were tasty, though not entirely memorable. The service met our expectations, and there were plenty of tables where customers could enjoy their treats.
85º is an amazing store with plenty of items to choose from. They have an assortment of many pastries along with breakfast items, coffee, tea, and many varieties of other things that you can think of. It is a very spacious area inside but it has limited seating unless you are on the booth side along the walls. Parking is only by meters unless you are walking there or any other way of transportation is very accessible. Great staff and there is a restroom towards the back.
Mixed Experience at 85°C Bakery Café – Great Pastries, But Be Prepared for Crowds and Parking Issues I stopped by 85°C Bakery Café around 5:58 PM on a Sunday, and the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. When we arrived, the bakery was pretty packed, which I expected on a weekend evening, but what caught me off guard was how empty the shelves were. There was very little variety left—most of the popular pastries were already gone, so if you're hoping for the full selection, I highly recommend coming earlier in the day. The inside of the bakery felt slightly unkempt at the time of our visit, which may have been due to the rush or lack of staff to keep up with cleaning. While we were sitting inside, we actually witnessed two separate car accidents just outside the shop—which brings me to the major issue: parking. Parking is a nightmare. It’s extremely hard to find a spot in the plaza, and when it’s full (which it often is), your only option is to pay for parking, which has a $20 minimum. That’s a hefty fee if you’re just swinging by for a quick pastry or drink. That said, there were still some redeeming qualities. The few pastries they did have were absolutely delicious, and honestly, we couldn’t complain about the taste. Even with the limited selection, everything we bought was fresh and flavorful. The staff was very kind, patient, and accommodating despite the chaos. We asked for a bottle of water, and they graciously gave us a free cup of water—a small gesture, but it left a positive impression. God bless them for their kindness. Overall, I’d say the food and customer service are worth coming for, but timing is everything. Come earlier if you want variety, and consider carpooling or rideshare to avoid the parking mess. I’d still recommend the spot for their quality pastries and drinks, but just know what to expect going in
