Just randomly went to 949 Grill Lounge on a weekday craving frog legs, and ended up finding my new favorite spot. Their Hunan-style fried rice noodles surprised me the most — it actually tastes like what you’d get back in China. Super flavorful, a little saucy, and just really satisfying. As someone who grew up eating rice noodles, this hit hard. Also really liked: • Pork broth rice (so comforting and flavorful) • Celtuce (fresh and crunchy) • Foil-wrapped clam vermicelli (no sand, super tasty) • Perilla frog legs (tender and juicy) Overall just a really solid spot for authentic Chinese comfort food. I’d definitely go back just for the noodles.

We had their lamb and beef skewers, the flavor was good, but the meat was bit hard to chew. We also ordered some northeastern dishes, they were too salty to my taste.

Fun spot in Irvine for late-night eats. Friends and I were craving something spicy, and oh man, their grilled skewers hit differently. The vibe? Chill, a bit smoky (in a good way), kinda perfect for just hanging out and chatting. Service was... okay, not super warm, but they got the job done. Edit

I’m so glad that my fav spot in town for Chinese kebab is back! After more than a year of absence, the restaurant is reopening with a great variety of food selection that offer perfect dining experiences. All dishes were flavorful and we left with 100% satisfaction. Would def come back again and try more dishes!
