This was a ~$2,000 move. Nothing was lost or broken, and the supporting movers themselves were hardworking and sweet. I appreciated their effort and demeanor, which is why I tipped them well. However, I would not recommend this company for moves involving artwork or higher-end furniture. Despite confirming in advance that proper art-packing materials (mirror boxes and acid-free paper, dish boxes, wardrobe boxes, mattress cover) would be provided, they were not available on move day. Standard boxes were use in a make-shift manner. Large artworks were wrapped with cling film and dirty moving blankets, resulting in soiling on the backs. The crew did not appear adequately trained in handling fine art or delicate furnishings. Management told me to proceed with payment and that any issues would be adjusted afterward, but no adjustment was ultimately made and promised follow-up did not occur. The crew used appeared to be contract workers (Four Leaf Clover), and there was a noticeable sense that work time was being extended. I was also concerned to find debris the next morning, including leaves and a moth, suggesting the truck and moving materials were not clean. Fine for a basic move, but not suitable if you have artwork or items requiring careful, professional handling. This was a ~$2,000 move. For higher-end or complex moves, it’s advisable to coordinate directly with the back-office team (rather than booking solely online) to ensure appropriate materials, planning, and oversight.
