Unfortunately will be having to leave a bad review on this place. Would not recommend coming here if you have VSP insurance or any insurance. They got my prescription wrong almost 4 times. I had to continue coming back and wasting my time. They also over charge you for their office so I would consider if you have Costco to go there before you spend over $800. I brought my own frames to put my updated prescription in and they charged me extra for that. They wanted to charge me $500 for two of my frames. I left and went to Costco and they rung me up to $150 for both of my frames. They lied to me and said this price would be everywhere because of “my insurance” will not be coming back here I’m sure almost half of anyone that goes here gets scammed. Nice staff though

I left San Francisco 4 years ago and still drive in for care 1-2x a year, after 10+ years of seeing various doctors at Acuity. Dr. L is fantastic, she remembers details about my family and gives me options for treatment based on my ability to take the steps. The opticians are exceptionally skilled at their jobs. Every little inquiry or need I have they address it so quickly and with care and kindness. They are intensely professional, kind, more than competent, give great referrals when needed, and have helped me save SO much money over the years with my myopia, dry eye, and poor eye health overall. Phil always reminds me about the rebate for contacts annually and helps me figure out how to navigate Acuvue's systems. I am forever grateful for such great eye care and treatment!

Amazing for me and for my 9 year old daughters “lazy eye”. I'm not a big reviewer, but I have to make a comment on how amazing the doctor and the team here have been. My entire family now goes here for our glasses. Not only did they help me move from glasses to contacts at age 48, but they also helped with an extensive treatment for my daughter's eye issue. They were kind, consistent, thoughtful, and fully addressed the problem. Truly a tremendous group. Big fan.

This is the most advanced optometry team I ever experienced. I called almost every place in the city and they are one of like the only ones that offer Ortho-K hard contacts. They have sooo many instruments, new school and old school.. I learn something new every time I am there. They also work together so well… the entire experience from booking, follow-up.. everything is so seamless here. Highly recommended

The doctor and staff were nice. I won’t be returning, though. They charged me $216 for a contact exam because of the normal check to see if I’m fine with the contacts on the second day. I’ve never been charged for that before, it makes me feel like they're running a scam. (Price comparison: $0 elsewhere with the same insurance, this place is in-network). I should have refused to pay, but I had a meeting and was getting pressed to buy contacts and glasses, so I figured I’d deal with it later (edited resolution: I’ve been scammed. This is so embarrassing. It appears they charge 20x the going rate for contact lens exams ($600) and give a fake “discount” of $400. I’m assuming this is a private equity place, please don’t support them.) As far as the appointment goes, the experience was fine. They have pretty high tech machinery for checking peripheral vision. The doctor (Dr. Tiana, I believe) is nice. She switched me from monthlies (which I was happy with) to biweekly. I’m sure both are fine, she said these are better. I haven’t tried it yet due to some prescription issues; the doctor was under the (wrong) impression that astigmatism contacts are not more expensive (come to find out it is double the price for contacts, which, with the $200, puts me close to $700 compared to the $240 I spend with a normal prescription), so I’ve been using old contacts until I can get a new prescription in the new year. I wish they considered that people simply can’t afford these things when scamming them but. That’s a bit much to ask I guess. I did have to insist on getting my prescription sent to me, they are pretty heavy on upselling. The first time you buy does have a reasonable deal (about 2x the price of Costco or Walgreens or 1800contacts), but after the additional charges I didn’t want to support them. I won’t be returning, though the eye exam itself was fine, and I didn’t have to wait too long past my appointment time (~15 min?). I guess if you’re just getting glasses, the doctors are nice.
