Adela's Bakery is a neighborhood bakery at 319 Sumner St in Boston, Massachusetts, serving customers in East Boston. For people looking for Salvadoran-style baked goods, a morning pastry, or something to bring home, this family bakery offers a straightforward local stop. A customer raised with traditional Salvadoran food describes finding the bakery’s sweet bread as a welcome connection to familiar flavors in Boston. That personal perspective speaks to the appeal of a bakery where traditional baked goods are part of the experience, rather than just an afterthought.

Sweet Salvadoran bread is one of the treats customers mention enjoying in the morning, especially alongside coffee. Another customer recommends the quesadilla bread, describing its texture and flavor as somewhere between cornbread and cake. These specific favorites give first-time visitors a useful place to start, while the selection displayed in the window offers a chance to see what is available on the day. Some products are sold in packages of five, and one review notes that the items in a package cannot be mixed and matched, so it can be helpful to check the packaging before choosing.

The reviews portray Adela's as a family-run bakery with a practical, no-frills feel. Customers mention a nice selection and well-priced items, making it a potential choice for picking up several pastries to share or taking home a package of bread. The selection and value may suit neighborhood residents, people passing through East Boston, and anyone curious to try Salvadoran baked goods. As with any small bakery, individual preferences can differ: one reviewer found some items dry, while others speak warmly about the pastry and traditional flavors.

Adela's Bakery is open Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is listed as closed on Sundays. Its early opening makes it an option for a morning bakery visit, while the address at 319 Sumner St gives visitors a specific East Boston destination. Customer reviews report a 4.3-star rating from 26 reviews. Checking the current hours and available selection before making a special trip is sensible, particularly around closing time, since one reviewer reported finding the door locked before the posted Sunday closing time.

For a simple local bakery visit, start with the sweet Salvadoran bread or ask about the quesadilla bread, then browse the window for other available pastries. Adela's is best approached as a small neighborhood business with a focused selection, package sizes to keep in mind, and feedback that reflects different customer experiences. Whether you are seeking a familiar taste, a new baked good to try, or a convenient morning pickup in Boston, this bakery offers a concrete opportunity to explore Salvadoran-inspired baking in East Boston.

I love Adela’s bakery. As a daughter of salvadoran immigrants raised with traditional food- finding a place as authentic as this bakery can be pretty hard to find in Boston. There’s nothing better than sweet Salvadoran bread in the morning w/ some coffee. Everything about this bakery is to love. Deffinetly a hidden gem in east Boston and love how close to my home it is. A must have with your morning breakfast.

Family bakery, son spoke some English, ordered the quesadilla bread. It's good, it's like if cornbread and cake has a baby 😋. Items are in bulk, 5 per package. No mixing and matching. …

Well-priced with a nice selection right in the window, though some items were on the dry side. Worth checking out if you're in the area. - Mimi's Cake Tour

The pastry is good but the service is horrible, I’ve been there way before they close on a Sunday and the door is already locked there is some one inside but she pretended she didn’t see me, at least comply with the closing hours, bad service

Delivery driver tailgated us & honked at us when going the speed limit through neighborhoods. Left a poor impression about this business.
