Alameda Nails

We thought this place was great at first. But, both my daughter and I got fungus under our fingernails! I have attached the photo of my daughter’s nail. The first time when I got fungus I talked to them about it and they just shook their head. Said it was my fault and started speaking Vietnamese. So we stupidly went a couple more times. Today my daughter got her acrylic tips taken off at another salon, and we see that she has fungus under her fingernail as well! I’m so mad. I’ve been going to get my nails done for 40 years and I’ve never even heard of fungus under a fingernail. This place seems really wonderful at first, but they are obviously not following all sterilization rules. A few of the workers are super rude and it is extremely expensive. One of us had gel one of us had acrylic. One of us has got gel and one acrylics. The gel that they have done was inconsistent. A couple of times it was fine but more often it was super thick and uneven. I’ve had to go back and have them fix. We are so disappointed. We do NOT recommend them.

Visited here recently to have my nails done for my birthday, and was satisfied with the results ! This had been my first time getting an ombré style on acrylics, along with a specific style/design I wanted. She did it exactly how I visioned it ! ✨ The nail tech took her time to ensure each nail was even, looked great, and made sure I was comfortable. I’d definitely return here with a friend. 💖

The nail salon in the neighbourhood located on Encinal Ave in Alameda. Clean and well maintained, staffs are friendly but hardly can speak English. Parking is hard to find. They offer Manicure -Pedicure and Waxing services. The massage chair while you’re having manicure or pedicure is very relaxing. Try their foot spa, it is great! But be sure to leave tips after services, they really demand for it!

I had an appointment at 10, I was about 15 minute late but the shop wasn’t crowded. I had called the day before and said I wanted the works guess I should have said the Special. Anyway the young lady was doing my pedicure it was going well until the women she had just did asked if she was done, the young lady told her just a moment then she got up and attended to the women, she had dried my feet but actually wasn’t finished she did not scrub my foot that had dead skin) if you could see in the pic) She came back and proceeded to polish my feet. It seemed that they were short handed because other people came in and this young lady had plenty to do. I felt that she rushed through my pedicure and this is the second time this has happened. I have been coming here for over 3 years and never felt rushed. I like the place because they are quite clean, but the service has toned down and the quality seems to be slipping. How it doesn’t happen again. Maybe they need more workers. I always tip but not sure if I will this time. A bit disappointed with my visit.

If I could give 0 stars. I would. This has been the worse experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I booked two special pedicures and when I got there was told my friend could only get the pedicure but I had to get regular because there was no time and they were busy. It was 4 people in there and two were finishing up. I honestly felt discriminated due to me being plus size and them not wanting to do it. I told her that I did not understand and to just give me regular polish no gel. The lady then said okay fine I give you special like him and pointed to my friend. Then I knew she had time, just did not want to do mine. This was a horrible and humiliating experience. 10/10 DO NOT recommend.
