An Nam is a Vietnamese restaurant at 310 Foley St in Somerville, MA, serving guests who want pho and other Vietnamese favorites in a polished dining room. Its location and posted schedule make it an option for lunch or dinner throughout the week: Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m.–9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. FindALoco lists An Nam at 4.3 stars from 322 reviews. That overall rating offers a useful starting point, while individual experiences can vary by dish and by what a diner looks for in a Vietnamese meal.

Pho is the clearest signature in the customer feedback. Reviewers describe flavorful broth, a satisfying amount of meat, and noodles that are wider than the noodles they expected. One guest found the broth sweeter than anticipated but enjoyed the flavor overall; another appreciated how well the pho was made. Taken together, these comments suggest a bowl with a distinct broth profile and generous-feeling portions, rather than a completely familiar version for every pho regular. If you value a thoughtfully prepared bowl and a more refined setting, An Nam may be worth considering. If your priority is a quick, casual pho stop or a specific traditional style, it may help to keep those preferences in mind.

The dining room stands out as part of the experience. Guests describe the furniture and atmosphere as upscale compared with a typical pho restaurant, making An Nam a fit for diners who want to sit down and enjoy the surroundings as well as their meal. Customers also praise the staff as kind and attentive, including one account of employees managing a busy seating situation before welcoming the next party. Reviews mention fresh food, adding to the impression of a restaurant where service and presentation contribute to the visit. The setting may suit a relaxed meal with friends or family, or a dinner when you want something more composed than a grab-and-go bowl.

Feedback on spring rolls is more mixed, so expectations are worth setting before ordering. One takeout review felt the shrimp rolls contained mostly iceberg lettuce and very thinly sliced shrimp, while another described the shrimp spring roll as okay. That experience differs from the stronger praise some guests give the pho, and it is a reminder that not every dish will be a favorite for every visitor. An Nam is best approached as a Somerville Vietnamese restaurant with a distinctive, polished pho-house atmosphere, flavorful broth, and generally welcoming service. Check the current hours before heading to 310 Foley St, especially on Sunday, when the listed closing time is earlier than on other days.

We ordered their spring rolls for take out and realized that the rolls were primarily iceberg lettuce with very thinly sliced shrimp. We thought a mistake had been made so we went back to the restaurant and they explained that this is how their spring rolls are made. $10 for 2 rolls of lettuce.

Pho was super yummy, the broth was flavorful and sweeter than I expected but it was a good taste all around. This was definitely the most upscale pho place I've been to in terms of indoor furniture and vibes! But I liked it and would come back again.

A high-end pho place to enjoy the atmosphere. The pho was well made, reflecting the higher price point, but not fully satisfying compared to other places — especially for someone who values a casual bite, high quality, and authenticity. The ladies’ room lock looked ambiguous — I thought I locked it but someone opened it. Be careful when you use it!

The staff is very nice and kind, saw them handle a very impatient customer where she demanded/argued a 6 top now but clearly they only had table for max 4 people & have to wait. Once they left, they seated us. All the food was fresh and …

The food was great. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were bigger than normal pho noodles which is fine, was just surprised. The shrimp spring roll is okay. The meat portion in the pho was good too.
