Sign in to reviewIt's a gem, a treasure hole in the wall place where things come from hard work & lots of love for what they do. It's not going to be some Michelin star bakery that you walk into. It's in an old part of Arlington, the building itself fits right in with the area. That's not a bad thing, but don't expect some clean cut, smooth concreted parking lot with fancy equipment inside. They do well for being in an older part of town. Conchas, we enjoyed them! My favorite was whatever this strawberry roll cake was, soft & fluffy. They have a lot of options, I only wish they would label the pastries. There were some empanadas but we couldn't tell what was what & didn't want to be one of those people that cracked one open, because trust me, someone did on one of the trays. They have a refrigerated section, we'll probably try the flan next time too. The cakes are gorgeous, I can't comment on the taste... no need to get one for just the two of us. Prices are very good, yes, they take cash only. I saw someone said they take Zelle but I didn't look. I'm not mad about it though, it's a small business... they'd get charge for credit card usage. I don't know if everyone understands that & if cash only works for them & they continue to do well... I'll keep bringing cash! Very sweet employees! Go here, grab a snack to enjoy. Also, there's not really a place where you can sit & chat for hours with friends but give them a try for some yummy treats!
I got some stuff from the bakery and 3 plate chicken tacos. Can’t believe how much the quality has gone down. The bakery items were stale and I could tell after one bite they have been prepared with very low quality stuff. The chicken in the tacos was literally just boiled and shredded it is bland and chewy. I will not be eating anything I bought today. So disappointed I used to go here often wont be anymore.
Tried to charge me $47 last night for $24 worth of food. Only change it after I said something ... Then I asked for pastor tacos and she gave me all chicken and beef.... Ice cold food too. I use to come here all the time and previously rated it 5 stars and raved about this place. I will never be back
Love the Sweet Breads. The Jelly rolls are my favorite and the piggy’s. The cookies are good too.
I had 3 chicarrón tacos rice and a drink All mentioned $17.87 little price I think. The food was ok, rice dry but I was hungry The bakery area looks like an abandoned room dusty with old cakes displays and some sweet bread that looks like if just waiting to be tossed out.
