Ann is a very attentive and skillful hairdresser. She took a lot of care trying to understand what I wanted from the haircut, and provided great insight into the state of my hair as well as suggestions on how to tailor my wants to my hair type. She did a great job with my fade and overall style, and she was a fun conversationalist. I will definitely be coming back. Note that Ann does take COVID-19 very seriously, which I appreciate. She sanitizes everything in between customers, and masks are required as of time of writing.

This is probably the best haircut I have had in a long time. I trust Ann’s skill and expertise completely. She put in time and care to go over my hair and prepare it before cutting, and advised me on how to get from where I’m at to where I want to be with length and avoiding breakage. She made extra sure I agreed with how much she took off and how she repaired the layers from previous haircuts that have not been good. She was honest, incredibly knowledgeable—I learned some new tips I haven’t heard before—genuine and kind. I appreciate her so much. I wish I lived here, I would come back every time …I might just have to make the 3+ hour flight anyway every time I need a cut. Thanks Ann!

What a delight! I wasn’t sure about getting a cut at Ann’s after the mixed reviews. However I got a great cut yesterday that was great value for money. You can’t make bookings, but I only had to wait a few minutes. Ann has been in business at this address for over 30 years and is quite a character. I definitely recommend Ann’s for hair.

First post Covid haircut for me and it feels great! Ann has opened safely, checking temperature, wearing a mask and gloves, and keeping the door open for ventilation. Highly recommend.

Owner seems to be too comfortable calling herself "lazy" to clientele. Read below for details. During my experience, she repeatedly told the guy before me that it'd be better to wash the hair prior to cutting because of the product in his hair. He agreed to do so but then she said "No I don't like to because I'm lazy". However she then tried to provide a halfhearted disclaimer that the hair might not be look right if it's not washed. Following that he annoying said "Just wash it then" which she begrudgingly did. Then suggested "I wash it beforehand". For me, she made similar comments about needing to wash prior to cutting but again saying "But I'm lazy". Being a little curious, I asked if it is on the list of provided services for $9, why doesn't she just do it? If a haircut is $35 (no scissors) or $45 (scissors), then $9 is at least 1/4 or 1/5 of that time so the math isn't too far off. She said since COVID, she doesn't offer other services like dyeing due to the "work". Overall, it was uncomfortable having my hair cut by someone who calls herself "lazy". This seems to indicate the purpose is just to get people in and out without attention - similar to Great Clips. I understand the financial situation might be difficult for the shop, but don't call yourself lazy in front of customers... Imagine you're getting your car is getting worked on by someone who calls themselves "lazy" - strange, right? The cut ended up just OK, but I wouldn't go back even if I were paid.
