Beware of this shoddy business! They won't stand behind the product they sell! I had a craving for some sugar, so I stopped in for a candy bar. The clerk was very friendly, and we chatted a bit. I bought a pair of Reese's big cups with caramel. I paid and stepped outside and opened it. I immediately went back inside and showed him what I found when I opened it. It had clearly been melted or smashed. The peanut butter cup was squashed, and the caramel was all squished out of it. He agreed that it looked bad, but said there's nothing he could do about it. I said you can just exchange it for a good one, or give me my money back. He said he couldn't do that. When I stood my ground, he offered to call the owner and ask what he could do for me. Apparently, the owner said he could do nothing at all. I was shocked that they knew they sold me and inedible product, but they would not make it right. I requested that he called the owner again, which he did. Apparently, the owner again said tough luck. It should not be a matter of luck whether a food product is edible or squashed beyond recognition! They should stand behind the products that they sell. Please don't support a store that would treat their customers so poorly!

I'm loving the fresh, new look and feel of this spot! I was sad when I found out it had been sold but the new owners have really put their heart and soul into this place. It's still got all the goodies and comforts the local have always found but now it's bright and clean with some new and even better goodies! My man behind the counter is very sweet and kind and works from open to close on the daily. He's always smiling and down for a chat. Please show this bodega and it's young owners some love when you're in NW.
