Apon Bazar is a supermarket in Los Angeles, CA serving shoppers who want South Asian pantry staples, everyday groceries, and prepared food in one stop. Located at 261 S Kenmore Ave in Los Angeles, the store is especially useful for people looking for Bangladeshi and broader Desi ingredients without having to travel far. For local residents, students, and families cooking at home, it offers a practical neighborhood option with long daily hours from 8:00 AM to 11:45 PM, making quick grocery runs and late-evening pickups more convenient.

What stands out most about Apon Bazar is the range customers mention in reviews. Shoppers describe a bigger selection than many similar ethnic grocery stores, including spices, masala, ginger-garlic jars, and a variety of vegetables that are common in South Asian and Southeast Asian kitchens. If you are stocking up for home cooking, looking for specific seasonings, or trying to recreate familiar dishes, this Los Angeles supermarket can be a helpful place to browse. Reviews also point to cooked halal meat as a notable draw, with one customer specifically praising the halal lamb leg and the spicy prepared items.

Beyond groceries, some customers stop by for breakfast and casual meetups. Reviews mention reasonably priced breakfast and an owner who was present and ready to serve in the morning, which gives the store a more community-oriented feel than a standard grab-and-go market. That combination of grocery shelves and ready-to-eat food can be appealing for busy workers, nearby residents, or anyone who wants to shop and pick up a meal in the same visit. The atmosphere described by supporters is organized, practical, and centered on serving the everyday needs of the neighborhood.

As with many local markets, shopper experiences can vary, and that is part of giving an honest picture. Positive reviews highlight better organization, solid customer service compared with similar stores, and a wide product mix. Some customers, however, suggest taking a moment to check product dates and note that parking can be frustrating at busy times, even though parking is available. For shoppers who value convenience, selection, and access to specialty South Asian ingredients in Los Angeles, California, Apon Bazar remains a useful local option to know about.

For FindALoco users searching for a supermarket in Los Angeles with Bangladeshi and Desi grocery items, Apon Bazar fits best for practical shopping, pantry restocking, and picking up prepared halal food. It is a place worth considering if you want hard-to-find ingredients, long opening hours, and a market that reflects the food traditions of the local community.

In comparison of rest of the Bangladeshi ethnic store, it is better organized. Has their own parking. We get together for business breakfast meeting. At 9.30 AM owner was present and ready to serve. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.

Better customer service than most Desi grocery stores. Bigger selection and variety products. But unfortunately parking sucks! Cause of this shortcoming and not considering this in the business plan, they are losing and gonna loose most of the customer, cause it takes at least 10 min to get the car into a spot, and same time to get it out from the dingy underground parking.

Double check the dates on products. Just found 2 masala (entire stock of it) with best before dates from 2017. Shop here if you want to fall sick. On bringing this to the counter lady's notice she just kept it aside and ignored it. No apologies or promise to pull it off stock. Am pretty sure she would be just putting the packets back on stock and hope no one notices.
