I got Chitra rajma from this store. It was branded under “SWARAJ”. I found two stones similar to the color of rajma in two different packets. I was astonished to see this. This is a serious quality control lapse. Cannot recommend SWARAJ brand at all.

If you like food from India-then this is your place to shop. An unbelievable selection of everything from all corners of India and surrounding countries such as Nepal and Thailand.

I'm a regular customer at The Desi Brothers. However, I want to caution you that not everything sold there is fresh. In fact, a food and health agency investigated, it would likely raise quite a few red flags. Recently, I ordered a box of Indian snacks. When I took it home, I realized it was bad. Keep in mind, this grocery stores are not easily accessible due to the distance, so I returned to the store almost a week later. When I showed the picture of the spoiled snack to the owner, he expected me to bring it as proof that it had gone bad. The fact that such items are being sold without expiry dates or proper packaging is a red flag itself. So, I advise you to be cautious when buying, especially non-packaged food, at this place.

This is a great place to escape into a different culture for a few moments. On entry to the market you step right in to the smells of the Indian continent. The curry, turmeric and chana masala along with other savory scents welcome you as if you are exiting a bus to a outdoor marketplace. They also have fresh produce and other staples of Indian style food such as rice, beans, peas and grains. Step in here next time you have a little adventurous spirit and spice up your life.

I was looking for bay leaf and found a huge bag of'em here, They also have a wall of specialty religious novelty items, such as incents and chimes, but you'll pay the price. There is a small selection of fresh deli items and produce as well. The store is over-stocked with boxes through-out, so hard to navigate in the store and if they have AC, it's not on. The store has a strong musty smell. They only have 2 registers and they stop to help get deli items for the customers, so the wait time becomes a cluster. I found over-all everything is over priced, but I guess specialty produce items are in high demand.
