I wish I could give this 10 stars! I needed to go to a new hair salon, especially one that is LGBTQ+ friendly, and one that is an ally to the trans community, and Arcane, especially Cortnee my new stylist, treated me with such respect, and made me fall in love with my hair all over again! If any of you who are part of the LGBTQ+ Community, especially part of the transgender community, this place is right for you! It was perfect for me, so I'm sure it would be for you too🩷

I stumbled across the salon by chance, I was getting tired of never really getting what I asked for and paying for a low-standard service. On entering the salon I was greeted with a fabulous smile from everyone inside, receptionist was amazing , lovely decor and environment. My service was with Austin April, which couldn’t have been a more relaxing and wonderful, awesome to chat with and what really caught my attention was Austin listened, his kindness has continued to impress me, I’ve been back my 3rd time now and I have to say impressive as hell, I love my hair love the cut the color and the edgy look Austin created. I am an older client from the British Pop Culture, from the likes of Joan Jet, Suzzie Q, punk rock I had a hair dresser for 20 years in the UK and never found a replacement until I found Austin… I highly recommend him as well as anyone of his colleagues in the salon, they all provide the best service and take pride in their work. Fabulous! Give them a go !
Edit: They called and offered me a free appointment, and Carly did a wonderful job of fixing it and making it right! :D Original review: Although I had a couple of decent experiences here in the past, I left my last appointment feeling really dejected... :( With some special events for me coming up, I came in and asked for a little trim (and showed the stylist that I'd like it around the red line in the photo). I was shocked to discover that over DOUBLE the amount that I asked for was cut! I went from having hair that went down to my chest to hair that barely reached my shoulders. I even mentioned during the cut that I hated having shoulder-length hair because of my hair's curl pattern, and a couple of times that it was looking a little bit short. Furthermore, after the cut was done, the stylist told me to come up to the front whenever I was ready, but left me there without blowing any of the hair off of me -- so I had hair all over my pants, shoes, and some on my shoulders and the back of my shirt :( That said, the cut itself (especially the bangs) is not bad, it just does not suit me at all and is difficult for me to manage with my hair type/curl pattern. Also, the stylist was also very kind and I really enjoyed talking with her.
The atmosphere of Arcane is a welcoming, authentic, community focused, comfortable vibe mixed with extreme hair knowledge and professionalism. If you’re looking for a place to listen to you, validate you, and assist you on your hair journey, there is nowhere better. The stylists all show care, and they carry awesome products
