Asia Bakery Inc is a neighborhood bakery at 115 N 10th St in Philadelphia, PA, in the city’s Chinatown area. It offers a convenient stop for people looking for Asian-style baked goods, buns, sweets, and coffee. Customer favorites mentioned in reviews include red bean mochi, coconut cream buns, and meat floss buns, alongside triangle cakes and birthday cakes. If you are exploring Chinatown or simply want a baked treat during the day, this is a local option to keep in mind. The shop is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., making it easy to plan a morning visit, an afternoon snack, or a pickup on the way home.
The appeal is the range of familiar bakery treats and the chance to discover something new. One customer describes a pastry as airy and gently sweet, though they were not sure what it was called; that kind of texture and restrained sweetness may appeal to people who prefer a lighter treat over an intensely sugary dessert. Red bean mochi has earned enthusiastic praise from a reviewer who had previously traveled to New York to find it, and the iced black coffee is another item customers mention fondly. Coconut cream buns are also a reason one visitor found the shop while walking along the sidewalk. These are customer experiences rather than a complete menu, so availability and selection may vary.
Reviews also point to a cozy, warm, nostalgic atmosphere and the smell of freshly baked goods. The selection described by customers makes Asia Bakery Inc suitable for a casual solo coffee break, picking up a few buns to share with family, or choosing a cake for a birthday. One reviewer appreciated that a birthday cake was not too sweet, while another regularly visits for iced coffee and buns. Whether you already know the treats you like or want to ask about an unfamiliar pastry, the shop may offer a relaxed stop in Chinatown. Its location on N 10th Street also makes it easy to include in a neighborhood visit.
Customer feedback is mixed, and it is worth reading it with care. The business has a 4.1-star rating based on 105 reviews. Many reviewers describe enjoyable bakery items and repeat visits, while one reviewer reported finding a cockroach in the cream of a triangle cake. That is a serious individual complaint, not something established by the information available here, but it is relevant context for prospective customers. If you visit, check your purchase before eating and contact the bakery directly if you have a concern. For current details about products, ingredients, or availability, confirm with the shop; the listed address is 115 N 10th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107.

My father in law's nurse brings these for the whole family when he comes over, I love them but I have no idea what they're called. They're so perfectly airy and gently sweet. If the owner sees this, please let me know what the name is!! We love them!!
Such a hidden gem in Chinatown!! I LOVE their red bean mochi. I used to literally go to NYC trying to find good red bean mochi and now I can get it right here in Philly lol. Everything I’ve tried here is so good and their iced black coffee is amazing too. I’m always craving this place!!
SO GROSS!!! DO NOT GET ANYTHING HERE!!!!! I got two meat floss buns and two triangle cakes. In one of the triangle cakes, I founded a COCKROACH IN THE CREAM of the cake!!!!??? First of all, how did they pass inspection??!!! And how did they not miss that, continue to seal it up, and served it to customers? I’m so lucky I saw something dark and uncovered the cream and found it before taking a bite! I already ate half of the cake before I saw it and I feel like I’m gonna throw up 🤮. Too bad I live over an hour away and can’t even go back for a refund. Not only that, but it felt like they were rushing me because the lady kept asking what I was getting when I just entered the store and overcharged me. They don’t have prices clearly labeled on everything and compared to the prices they show online, my total should have been $8.50 but she charged me $11. Don’t come here, just go to a different bakery cause I would PAY extra at a different bakery that’s more expensive to not have a cockroach in my food.
10/10 overall, I’ll be coming back here regularly! I discovered this quaint little asian bakery on the sidewalk because I was craving coconut cream buns and I stumbled on this place. First impression— the atmosphere was cozy, warm, nostalgic, and smelled like freshly baked goods. There are so many options here for whatever you’re craving, I saw cakes, buns, moon cakes, tarts, and different kinds of pastries on shelves. To my surprise, I also saw that they sold puto—although I wish they could also sell ube puto, it looked yum. I ended up getting a coconut cream bun, and some sponge cake. The sponge cake was absolutely delightful—fluffy, airy, rich. I liked its slightly eggy flavor. My sister had the coconut cream bun, and I didn’t get to try it because she kept it to enjoy for herself. Judging from her reaction to the bun, the bun must’ve been great… Also, the lady who was working at the front was very kind and funny. She gave great recommendations for what to get— the vast amount of options made it a bit overwhelming to choose, but she was very helpful.
I come here a couple times per month for iced coffee and buns. Recently, we got a birthday cake. The cake was nice, not too sweet. I saw there are some really bad reviews recently. Those are horrifying lol. I will check my buns from now on but I have never personally had anything wrong with mine.
