What many customers remember first is the bánh mì itself. Reviews consistently describe the sandwiches as large, fresh, and generously filled, making b&b a strong choice when you want something substantial rather than a quick bite that leaves you hungry. Guests have called out the bulgogi bánh mì in particular, while also noting that the menu offers options for both meat eaters and non-meat eaters. That flexibility makes b&b | Banh Mi & Boba a practical pick for mixed groups, coworkers on a lunch run, or anyone trying to satisfy different tastes at once. There are also rice bowls for those in the mood for something other than a sandwich, giving the shop a little more range without losing its simple identity.

The drinks are another reason people seek out this San Francisco shop. Several reviews highlight the milk tea as a standout, with one customer even calling it the best they had in the city. Boba and fruit teas help round out the menu and make the shop appealing not just for lunch, but also for an afternoon stop when you want something refreshing alongside your meal. The atmosphere described by customers is casual and comfortable, with a strong sense that the staff genuinely care about quality and hospitality. One detail that leaves an impression is the owner’s commitment to freshness, including not carrying ingredients over from one day to the next. That kind of discipline helps explain why the food tastes bright and consistent.

For locals in the Sunset and for visitors spending time on the west side of San Francisco, CA, b&b | Banh Mi & Boba is a solid option for a relaxed, flavorful meal. It is especially well suited for lunch, casual meetups, solo takeout, and anyone who appreciates Vietnamese-inspired comfort food made with attention to detail. Stopped by B&B and had an amazing bánh mì. The owner was super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell he really cares about both the food and his customers. The sandwich was huge and packed with fresh ingredients. I also loved hearing that he doesn't carry ingredients over from one day to the next, so everything stays fresh. That attention to quality definitely shows in the taste. Great food, generous portions, and genuinely kind service. I'll definitely be coming back for another bánh mì!

Sandwiches are a happy place. B&B popped up on my IG feed a few months back and I saved the post but lost it. Fast fwd to a coworker bringing a bulgogi Bahn mi to work. I could have tried it then but I wanted my own full experience and to show support for this creation. You ever had a Bahn Mi as big as a deli sandwich? You ever wanted bulgogi on your Bahn Mi? When you first enter you’re welcomed with smiles and a good vibe. I would suggest pre ordering as there has to be a line at times. You’re hit with a menu board and tons of options both sandwiches and drinks. I chose the Bulgogi Bahn Mi, sandwhich was huge! The beef was so tender and hefty. Guaranteed to fill you up . The pickled veggies were fresh and well flavored. The bread! Soft but has a light crunch. Washed it all down with a Mango Green Tea Bobba. Not too sweet and also tasted fresh. Top two Banh Mi spotting the city imo!

A good bahn mi is hard to find in the Sunset, in my opinion. My regular spots have changed and just don't taste as good. The menu not only bahn mi’s for meat and non-meat eaters as well as rice bowls too. And if you need something to wash it all down with, get yourself a boba and/or fruit tea. Since this was my first visit, I ordered the 5-spiced chicken and the bulgogi beef. Generous portions of meat served in a fresh roll. Overall delicious sandwiches and I have return a couple of time. It is a small store front, so standing room inside is limited and there are a couple of stools for inside seating, while waiting for your sandwich. The owner/staff is very friendly. Support your local business and check it out!

This is seriously the best milk tea I've had in San Francisco, and the staff is super nice. And travelers, if you're used to Asian milk tea, I recommend trying it with 30% sweetness.
