The Best Authentic Sauerkraut Fish in Austin – Incredible Portions! I am so incredibly happy that Austin finally has an authentic spot for Sauerkraut Fish (Suan Cai Yu)! As a fan of this dish, B2J Tasty Pot truly hit the spot and left me feeling super satisfied. We ordered the Spicy Sauerkraut Fish for two, and the portion size was absolutely massive. It was more than enough for two people to eat their fill, and we even had enough leftovers to pack home for another two meals! It is rare to find a place that is this generous with their servings while maintaining such high quality. Speaking of quality, the ingredients were exceptionally fresh, and the flavors were spot on. Every bite was a delight! Another pleasant surprise was the takeout packaging—it was so professional and exquisite, ensuring the food stayed perfect even after we left. Don’t forget to try their Fresh Milk Mochi for dessert; it was delicious and the perfect way to end a spicy meal. My friend and I had a wonderful time here. Classic Spicy Sour Fish Pot is the absolute star of the show here. The fish fillets are incredibly tender and the soup base is perfectly tangy and appetizing. Spiciness was spot on—goes perfectly with a bowl of rice. Also tried the Black Fungus Salad (very refreshing) and the Spiced Chicken with Chili Sauce which was packed with flavor. The Fried Chinese Donut (You Tiao) is a must-order; dipping it in the fish soup is the gold standard move! Restaurant is clean, service is super quick, and it’s a solid spot to hit with friends. Definitely coming back.

I checked this place out with my Chinese friend, and we both really liked it! Food was very authentic and staffs were very inviting and friendly. We truly love to visit this spot again!! I'm a huge fan of spicy food, and it wasn't that spicy. I could say I would eat this nice dish every week! Definitely worth-visiting place!!
