Sign in to reviewThe new kid on the block and the location for Bag of Cakes. I was in the area recently and stopped by for coffee and croissant and saw what was offered inside. The line for baked goods wasn't too bad at opening. If you were there for a drink only, you can head straight to the front counter or kiosk to the left of the cashier. The staff are kind and would get the items you request from the display. The downside is that customers are helped one at a time, or two if there's enough staff. Everything looked appetizing and photo-worthy. There's plenty of delicious-looking sweet and savory pastries and cakes (whole and sliced) to choose from. The drink menu includes many standard coffee, latte, and matcha options, as well as house specialties. The match drinks looked great, and I'll have to try one next time The prices seem to be fair, and the products are made fresh. My cold brew was smooth and enjoyable. The butter croissant was flaky and met expectations for a classic item. There are a few small tables inside and large patio tables outside. The interior space is small and nice for a quick break to enjoy your order. The space isn't ideal if you need more privacy or a quiet place to work. I would come back again if I were in the area.
First time trying this place — staff were so nice and accommodating! We both got matchas (which were AMAZING) and we tried the garlic & herb salt bread, pepperoni pizza brioche, and the green onion salt bread. Overall pretty good! I personally didn’t like the green onion one, it was very soggy and didn’t taste like much. The pizza brioche and garlic & herb salt bread were good — I will say they tasted kinda stale, which was a little disappointing given the price (we also went at 10:05, which is basically right when they open).
I was so surprised by how wide the selection of sweets is here! It’s a very beautiful place and a real find for dessert lovers. Everything looks very fresh. My heart was definitely won over by the strawberry pizza, it looks absolutely gorgeous! Under the strawberries there’s delicious dough, though I personally would have liked the cream to be less heavy and served colder. There are also seats inside where you can sit and enjoy your dessert. Drinks me Coffee ($3.8-$5.8) (espresso, americano, cold brew, cortado, latte, cappuccino, mocha) Flavored lattes ($5.8-$6.8) (vanilla, pistachio, hazelnut, maple, caramel, honey oat) Matcha & specialty drinks ($5.5-$8.5) (matcha latte, strawberry matcha, banana pudding matcha, matcha einspänner, chai latte, hot chocolate) Tea ($4-$5.5) (mango, lychee, loose-leaf varieties) Sparkling drinks ($5.5) (yuzu, pink lemonade, passion fruit, peach, blood orange, strawberry lemonade)
Love coming here for pastries and matcha lattes! Their matcha options are so good, but I adore the strawberry matcha latte with oatmilk (75% sweet). Their salt breads and earl grey cruffins are a must! I love both their savoury and sweet pastries so much! The staff here are also so attentive and nice, always with bright smiles on their faces.
I've been hearing about Bag of Cakes for a while now, so when I happened to be driving by and wasn't in a rush, I decided to finally stop in and see what the hype was about. Parking was easy right from the start since it's located in a shopping lot. I had no trouble finding a spot, which already made the visit feel low-stress and convenient. Walking in, the space immediately felt warm and inviting. The atmosphere was cozy without feeling cramped, with low music playing in the background and a relaxed vibe that made it feel like a nice place to sit and enjoy dessert with a drink rather than just a quick grab-and-go. The display case was filled with a wide variety of cakes and desserts, all beautifully presented, which made choosing a bit overwhelming in a good way. The staff was kind and polite, though there wasn't much guidance offered when it came to the menu. With so many options, it might have been helpful to hear a quick "Have you been here before?" or get a brief rundown of popular items. That said, they were clearly busy helping other customers, and the service was still friendly and efficient. When it came time to order, I picked a few items I'd heard good things about. The cake slices leaned more toward a sponge-style cake--very soft, light, and airy. While that texture isn't really my personal preference, I can absolutely see why others enjoy them. They weren't overly sweet or heavy, which I know appeals to a lot of people. One item that really stood out to me was the Biscoff coffee roll. It genuinely tasted like coffee, which really impressed me. The flavor came through clearly and felt intentional rather than artificial, and it ended up being my favorite thing I tried. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Even though the cakes themselves weren't quite my personal favorite style, the inviting atmosphere, easy parking, friendly staff, and standout flavors made the stop worthwhile. It's easy to see why Bag of Cakes has such a strong reputation, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys light, fluffy cakes or is looking for a relaxed spot to enjoy dessert and a drink.
