Sign in to reviewso authentic! BEST Kouign-amann I ever had. also got chausson aux pommes, regular croissants & dulce de lecce- so tasty. I did not have to do anything to my coffee it was perfect. the woman had a lovely accent and was so efficient, friendly, and moved seamlessly around multitasking. the place had nice modern jazz, and the bustling ambiance and mixed chatter of patrons made the whole place so quaint and charming. very much recommend. worth the drive if you think it is far - you'll get a genuinely overly satisfying experience with this place. I will never pass this non-assuming site again without stopping or longing. it's a gem on this long stretch of non-descript-ness that is Bee Cave rd. y'all try this place!
One of my favorite spots in Austin. The bread and pastries are phenomenal and I love going in for a quick lunch break for a baguette sandwich. The owner is also so kind and fun to talk to.

We usually order breakfast croissants with eggs and bacon, and they’re always amazing — buttery, flaky, and full of flavor. Their Mocha is one of the best I’ve had, rich and smooth, and the beignets are absolutely delicious — light, sweet, and fresh every time. The sourdough bread is also worth mentioning; it’s perfectly baked and goes great with any meal. The staff is very polite and attentive, and the service is consistently excellent. Whether we dine in or take our coffee to go, the experience is always pleasant. If you’re in Bee Cave and looking for a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast or a weekend treat, Baguette et Chocolat is definitely a must-visit. Fantastic food and excellent service. Very friendly and awesome with kids, they provide crayons, markers, coloring books, stickers, etc. And the food is five star quality. Outstanding place. Seating inside or outside. Available for dining in or taking to go, you can order ahead also a lot of people just doing pick up orders for fresh loafs of bread.
This hidden gem is worth it, 100% tucked away but busy as a European cafe at prime time. I got the turkey, Swiss, and egg croissant (heaven!). I Didn’t know they had the egg baguette, used to get that every morning in Paris so I’ll be back for sure.
