Guests frequently mention the salon’s detailed nail work, especially for pedicures, French tips, and gel manicures. Reviewers describe technicians who are careful, gentle, and confident in the small decisions that help a set look clean and flattering, from color selection to the shape and finish of the nails. The business also appears to appeal to clients who care about product options. One reviewer specifically appreciated the availability of cruelty-free gel, including Londontown gel, which can be a meaningful detail for customers who are selective about what goes on their nails. In addition to nail services, customer feedback shows that massage is part of the experience here as well, including deep tissue massage that left a strong impression on at least one out-of-town guest. That combination makes Bamboo Nails feel broader than a basic nail salon and more in line with what many people want from a neighborhood day spa in San Francisco: practical services, thoughtful care, and a setting that helps people slow down for a while.
Based on customer experiences, Bamboo Nails may be a good fit for anyone planning a manicure or pedicure treat, friends getting ready for a weekend outing, busy professionals wanting reliable upkeep, or visitors in San Francisco, CA looking for a restorative stop between travel plans. Reviewers particularly highlight the ambience as beautiful and calming, though one customer felt the gel durability did not match the higher price point. That kind of feedback gives a more complete picture: people often come here for the quality of care, comfort, and detail-focused service. If you are searching for Bamboo Nails in San Francisco and want a neighborhood day spa known for relaxing nail appointments, thoughtful technicians, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is a place many clients are happy to return to.

Sign in to reviewBest pedicure from Mai today she did an insane work on my French tips, knew exactly which shade of pink would work best for me. Didn’t have to tell her to keep the white thin and minimal - all her. Booked a follow up same day. I’m ruined for anyone else doing my pedicure. Also very gentle and detailed💛💛💛
I had such a great experience at Bamboo Nails. I got a regular manicure with Susanna (I think that was her name), and it was honestly one of the most relaxing nail appointments I’ve ever had. Everything felt really gentle and unhurried. I could have fallen asleep. What really surprised me was how long my nails lasted. It was just regular polish, but it stayed looking good for almost 3 to 4 weeks without chipping, which has never happened to me before. The salon is clean, calm, and just feels very different from the typical rushed experience. I will definitely be back next time I’m in San Francisco!
I had the most wonderful experience at Bamboo Spa today. I’m a little upset I haven’t found this place sooner! I had a gel manicure with Amy, and regular pedicure with Sarah. I appreciate that this salon offers cruelty free gel, which I haven’t found elsewhere in the city. They offer Londontown gel nail polish, which independent vegan and cruelty free review blog Ethical Elephant confirmed is a cruelty free brand and offers many vegan options, though not all of their products are vegan. I’ve had 3 gel nail polishes at a few other salons in SF over the last year, and this is by far the best one I’ve had - beautiful, no large gaps between polish and cuticle, no pain or cuts, shaping is excellent, and the entire appointment was efficiently accomplished in 1 hour without feeling rushed (I did have both services done at once, which might not always be a guarantee if they’re busier). I went on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed missing the morning rush. Now I’ll just wait and see how well it lasts! Thank you so much Amy and Sarah for a wonderful service.
beautiful nails and great service! but poor quality of gel and not worth it for the price - see below my gel nails are cracked only after 1.5 weeks. spent $170 for only gel meni and regular pedi for one person, def on the higher side than other places nearby. i do like the ambience of the place (wooden, spacious, and very relaxing).
Hands down the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever received! I was in town visiting family and my husband and I were gearing up to get on our flight back to Cleveland. With one day left to galavant around the city my husband surprised me with a massage at Bamboo Spa before our flight later that evening. I would 1000/10 recommend ending a vacation with a massage and this place is great at what they do!
