Bánh Mì Boys is a Vietnamese restaurant on Magazine Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, at 3244 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115. It brings Vietnamese sandwich flavors together with a casual, neighborhood-friendly setting, making it a convenient stop for a relaxed meal while exploring Magazine Street. Diners describe the atmosphere as chill, the space as clean and well organized, and the staff as friendly and personable. The restaurant has a 4.2-star rating based on 353 reviews, offering prospective guests a useful snapshot of a place that has earned both enthusiastic recommendations and some mixed feedback.

Bánh mì is central to the restaurant’s appeal, with customer reviews calling out the chicken katsu and pork belly sandwiches, as well as a spicy tofu option. One diner appreciated the fresh, crisp ingredients and aromatic sandwich, especially the cilantro; another found a Vietnamese po’boy combo with fries and a drink tasty, hot, fresh, and generous in size. These specific experiences suggest a menu that gives guests different ways to enjoy a Vietnamese-inspired sandwich, whether they prefer chicken, pork belly, or tofu. As with any restaurant, individual impressions can vary, so recent reviews may help visitors decide which items sound right for them.

Sides and other dishes add variety beyond the sandwiches. Reviewers mention French fries, kimchi, and bang bang shrimp, with one guest especially praising the fries and another enjoying kimchi alongside a sandwich. The range noted by diners can suit a lunch stop, an informal dinner, or a shared meal with someone who wants to sample more than one flavor. Reviews also mention art on the walls, adding a personal touch to the dining room without taking away from its relaxed feel. For visitors choosing where to eat on Magazine Street, these details offer a clearer sense of the experience than a generic description alone.

Bánh Mì Boys may work well for New Orleans locals looking for a casual Vietnamese restaurant, visitors seeking a satisfying sandwich, and groups with different preferences, including guests interested in a tofu choice. Reviewers describe meals that felt fresh and generous, and several highlight the welcoming service; other feedback is less positive, so experiences are not identical for everyone. That mix makes it helpful to check current customer comments and confirm practical details before visiting, as business hours were not provided in the available information. If you are near Magazine Street and want Vietnamese-inspired sandwiches with familiar sides in an easygoing setting, Bánh Mì Boys is a local option worth considering.

BANH MI BOYS SANDWICHES I enjoyed a Vietnamese poor boy combo with French fries and a drink; it was very tasty. Everything was fresh, hot, and generous in size. The sandwich shop was clean and well-organized. I appreciated the art on the walls, and the staff had good personalities. The wait was quite short. Visiting this place is a must, and I will definitely come back. Sincerely yours, The Rap Team Media

We went to Bahn Mi Boys on Magazine for the first time this past Sunday evening. We were excited to try it after watching YouTube videos and looking at the website. Wow, it was disappointing. I can tell that the concept is good, but the execution is abysmal. We had the pork belly bahn mi and the chicken katau bahn mi and fries. The fries are fine and were hit and crispy. The sandwiches were OK. They could have been good, but they were underwhelmingly dressed and don't look like the photos on the website unfortunately. When we arrived, we had to interact with a machine, and no one greeted us. The soda machines didn't work. An employee came out from behind to fix it and was somewhat successful, but the machines were a little off, and the employee did not care at all. The restaurant and restroom were FILTHY. No one cared at all. It wasn't busy at all, but there were unbussed tables, dirty tables, and trash filled restrooms. I don't normally slam places, but Bahn Mi Boys needs a wake up call. The idea is too good to not carry it through. I hope things improve.

Some of the reviews didn't give the KFC Spicy Tofu Bahn Mi a good rating, but I went for it anyway, and I was happy I did. It wasn't mind blowing, but it was satisfying and I was happy I got it. Their French fries were fantastic, easily the best ones I've had in town so far. I was happy I stopped in a whim for lunch.

The food here always hits, and the people working are super chill and friendly. I brought someone to New Orleans and this was our first stop. After we left they said and I quote "okay, I trust you to pick the food for the rest of the trip, that was insane"
