Sign in to reviewThis place isn’t about atmosphere it is about the food, let me get that out of the way first. I’m Vietnamese and Banh Mi is an obsession for me…. This is my first time here. I’ve never gotten anything here before because the line usually so long and it’s way out the door….But I got in line this time and I’m so glad I did…. I had the Thit Nuong Banh mi…buy 2 get 1 free always. I had the veggies separated from the sandwich because I had to drive home 3 hours….I re-heated the bread in the oven (removed the meat and heated that separately..just toasted it for a few minutes….OMG OMG OMG..even after taking it home..this has got to be one of the BEST banh mi I’ve ever had. The bread, oh that bread…..you know you got the right bread when you’re sprinkled with the crumb coming off the crust..and then when you breath in bread dust and cough up, but when you squeeze it all together and the bread just smooshes just right and it doesn’t fall apart….This my friends is a WINNER…… If I could rate the food 10 stars I would….I gave them 5* for everything else because this is exactly what I expect out of a shop that only does take away in Little Saigon…. RUN don’t walk here!
I like a location beside ABC supermarket, more varieties of food, service good, price reasonable. I like Banh Mi and Che here , good price! Weekend very busy.
Love their Bahn Mi - buy 2 get 1 free, so each sandwich ends up being $4 - a great deal for SoCal - good amount of meat, nicely pickled carrots and daikon, jalapenos and cilantro, mayo slathered on the bread. The bread - toasted when you get back home gives it another crunchy layer (the veg produced the other layer). Always our go to for bahn mi!
The banh mi are now $5 each and buy 2 get 1 free. Still a great deal. Service isn’t great by American standards but they are ok. Look at the menu ahead of time and know what you want to order to make things faster for yourself Lots of other delicious things here too
Another solid place to get some freshly made banh mi as well as other snacks. The banh mi here are some $6 each, and if you buy two, you get one free. They also only accept cash.
