I haven't posted in nearly a year and this place was so good here we are! The owner, Alex, greeted me and recommended their best seller (I wish I could recall the name of the pho dish) and it was amazing! Intrigued by the opportunity to talk to an owner I asked a backstory and found out he has been involved with restaurants for 26 or 27 years, completely cultivates every restaurant he designs from the ground up including everything from the dishware to the countertops to the menu selection to the staff. He curates every part of the process to make your experience as great as possible. Over the years he has opened multiple restaurants, each with their own unique vibe. I thought it was amazing to see someone dedicated to doing something they enjoy on the level that he has and will definitely be visiting more of his locations to see what they offer.
I work around here so I get lunch often from food works and bahn mi station is the best. The grilled pork is so juicy and and egg roll is crispy. Pickled veggie cuts the fat and veggies makes the bowl very crunchy. That grilled pork vermicelli bowl is the best.
Banh Mi Station is one of those places you walk into and immediately know the food is going to be good. The atmosphere is casual and authentic, with the open kitchen and shelves full of ingredients that make it feel like a real street food spot. The banh mi sandwiches are excellent. Fresh bread, perfectly seasoned meat, crisp vegetables, and great balance of flavor in every bite. Nothing feels heavy or overdone. You can tell everything is made with care. The pho is also outstanding. Rich broth, generous portions, and packed with flavor. Exactly what you want when you’re craving Vietnamese comfort food. Service was friendly and fast, and the whole place felt clean and welcoming. This is the kind of spot you come back to again and again. If you’re in Atlanta and want a legit banh mi or a great bowl of pho, Banh Mi Station is absolutely worth the stop.
Wow that crispy pork belly banh mi is so goood. Pork skin is crackling and still juicy at the same time. Glad to have a legit banh mi in this neighborhood
3 to 3.5 stars in my opinion It’s a bit pricey for Banh mi, but that might be expected given the location. The seasoning overall was a bit off for me. I prefer the spring roll sauce to have a bit more sweet and lemon instead of mostly fish sauce flavor. The bánh mì itself was a little plain besides the marinade on the meat. For the pho, they only serve bean sprouts and basil which I hope they have some culantro and mint as well. if you’re really craving some Vietnamese food while you’re in the plaza, it’s still an okay place to grab a meal.
