Pho Quyen is a Vietnamese restaurant at 2740 E Fowler Ave in Tampa, FL 33612, serving pho and a broad selection of Vietnamese dishes. It has a relaxed, understated feel that reviewers describe as welcoming and reminiscent of a neighborhood mainstay. Located on E Fowler Avenue, it is a convenient option for students, local residents, and anyone looking for a casual meal centered on Vietnamese flavors. The restaurant is frequented by young students as well as diners who come specifically for pho and other Vietnamese favorites.

Pho is a natural starting point, and customer experiences reflect different preferences: some reviewers praise the richness of the broth, while others feel the balance of noodles and broth or the seasoning could be stronger. That range of feedback makes it useful to arrive with your own tastes in mind. Beyond pho, diners mention Tom Yum soup, combo fried rice, crab rangoon, shrimp rolls, and spring rolls. Fried quail and frog legs also appear in customer accounts, offering alternatives for guests interested in trying something beyond a familiar bowl of soup. Menus and individual experiences can vary, so these dishes are best understood as items customers have reported enjoying or ordering.

The atmosphere is described as nice and subtle rather than formal, making Pho Quyen suitable for an everyday lunch or dinner with friends and family. Reviews often note friendly service and, in some cases, quick food delivery; other diners mention fewer check-ins or mixed impressions of particular dishes. This varied feedback offers a realistic picture: many guests report finding dishes they enjoy, while personal preferences can differ. The restaurant’s mix of soups, rice dishes, rolls, and other selections can work well for a group where not everyone is seeking the same kind of meal.

Pho Quyen is rated 4.3 out of 5 based on 1,470 reviews, a useful snapshot of its local following rather than a promise that every dish will suit every guest. This is a favorite Vietnamese restaurant of my long time good friend. This is the second time visit. This time we came hungry and had a good spread of different kind of dishes infront of us. The restaurant is frequented by young students and anyone who loves pho or other Vietnamese dishes. The service is attentive, they frequently check on us and asking how's the food and that if we need anything at all.

Service was very friendly. Received the food fast. The Tom Yum broth was tasty, but 2/3rds of the bowl was full of onions and the shrimp was lack luster. The shrimp roll was nothing special, pho soup has too many noodles to enjoy the broth and bland. It should be hot, tasty, full of fresh herbs, etc. Stir fries are full of noodles to fill you up and little protein. As you can see there is alot of differed maintainence on floors we did not notice until we were half way through meal. From the front entrance desk, chipped soup bowls, cleanliness issues like the dust I wiped with my napkin on the window seal, and the other side of the booth was not cleaned, and carpeted floors need a professional cleaning so it makes you wonder what's going on in the kitchen as well before your food arrives. They need to limit their menu to best sellers, concentrate on fresh herbs, quality shrimp, beef, chicken, vegetables and quality control from purchasing to presentation and taste. Quality over quantity ! Id rather have small fabulous portions that blow me away then a ton of noodles to fill you up. They have been around for years and they could be doing a tremendous lucrative business instead of just getting by. The potential has been there for years, someone's not listening.

Nice and subtle aura about the place on entry, feels like a local mainstay as soon as you walk in. The richness of the broth is something I look for and don't find like this many places. Even got me to try frog legs, and they were absolutely delicious and yes, those are indeed the frog legs. The servers were very prompt and kind also.

Atmosphere is nice. The servers were friendly but didn’t do a lot of check ins. The pho chay I had tasted off. I thought it was not my personal preference but it tasted a little like a toilet bowl, and I ended up getting sick two days later with food poisoning. My husband’s dish was very good. Thai iced tea was yummy.
