This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants! The food is fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. I highly recommend the Bún Chả—the grilled pork is perfectly seasoned and pairs so well with the noodles and dipping sauce. The Chả Giò is crispy, golden, and delicious, and the Salt Coffee is rich, smooth, and the perfect way to finish the meal. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The food was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the trip from Seattle. I had a chance to chat with the owner and could really feel his passion for the food and and what he’s building here. The flavors brought me right back to Vietnam and reminded me of eating at home. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming and truly feels like home. Authentic Hanoi flavors and some of the best pho I’ve had in the U.S. I’ll definitely bring my family here the next time we’re in Portland. Highly recommended!
This family-run restaurant will make you fall in love with Vietnamese food. 🍜 ⭐️ Service was exceptional. ⭐️ Great ambiance — cute decor, located in what used to be a house. Weird detail, but I love that they have a coat rack. ⭐️ Drinks — the salted Vietnamese coffee drink was divine. I dream of it sometimes. ⭐️ Hanoi’s grilled pork / chicken vermicelli noodles aka the Obama/Bourdain noodles are super good! It’s prepared warm, which I didn’t expect as normally vermicelli bowls I’ve had before are cold dishes. ⭐️ North style fried spring rolls were crispy, juicy, flavorful. Great for sharing. ⭐️ Signature Garlic Stir Fried Beef Pho was super good. I don’t normally like pho, but this changed my mind. I loved it!!! Excited to go back and try all the other dishes and drinks!
Not a bad bowl of pho by any means, but you can tell your 60 blocks from 82nd! Beef broth is very mild but flavorful, steak was quite good, veggies were all fresh but my least favorite part is the wide rice noodles, you need the thin rice noodles for a classic pho (imho). Chili oils were good but it’s the type of spot that won’t put fish sauce on the table…but they have it if you ask mom in the kitchen…
Super cosy! We got the D19. Grilled Pork / Chicken and pickle in special made fish sauce, comes w/ a side of rice noodle and veggie (Bún Chả Hà Nội), the D21. Crab Noodle Soup (Bún Riêu Cua) & Fried Stuffed Rice Cakes (Bánh Rán Mặn). Mine was the d19, I finished it really quickly. My partner got D21, and she thought it was pretty good. We both tried the fried stuff rice cakes and liked our primary dish better. Very friendly staff, quick service. The food is fresh and good-sized portions.
