Located outside of Lam's Seafood Asian Market, this place offers to-go only I tried #2 Roasted Pork Belly. I was imagining crispy pork belly, but it's actuakjy super soft and fatty meat in the sandwich, which was still enjoyable. The full size is big, but mostly filled with pickles and vegetables.
I recently visited Banh Mi Station in Tukwila for the first time, and my initial impression was really positive. The spring rolls, filled with shrimp, pork, vermicelli, and lettuce, were tasty, especially with the fish sauce I requested. The combination sandwich was also fantastic, and I couldn’t resist their delicious iced coffee. The menu is easy to follow, so it was simple to decide what to get. However, I went back today and ordered more sandwiches along with egg rolls. Unfortunately, this time, the egg rolls weren’t fresh, and there was also imitation crab meat toast on bread that gave me a stomachache. Even though the sandwich was still fresh, the other dishes didn’t sit well with me. On top of that, I also noticed a Hispanic woman working there today who wasn’t very friendly—she didn’t even make eye contact and gave me a weird look. Overall, I’m giving Banh Mi Station three stars. I still recommend the combination sandwich and iced coffee, but just be cautious with the other items and the service.
We ordered three combination bánh mì sandwiches, and unfortunately all of them were disappointing. Even though I saw them put the bread in a toaster, the buns came out not toasted at all and cold. Each sandwich had very little meat and vegetables, and there was no pâté—so every bite felt like mostly bread. For $8 each, we just expected a much better balance of ingredients. We also ordered egg rolls, which tasted very old and had a strange stale, almost “cardboard-like” smell. The spring rolls and mini Vietnamese pancakes were supposed to be made fresh, but we were given items that had been sitting out on the counter for who knows how long. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place. I initially went there for poke, but they were closed, and I wish we had gone somewhere else entirely.
Very tasty (large-7.99) tofu banh mi. A little sweet and I would get extra jalapeños next time. They carry mtn dew baja blast 🌊 for the combo. Nice people. …
I had a small ham combo banh mi. It was sweet butter forward without any hint of pate. Sweeter meat and dabs of fish sauce. Light pickling on the vegetables. I would have preferred more pate and a dab of maggi. The bread was superb and the star of the show. Plus points for the mini bread but the price was at a premium. Also the pics on the menu are misleading regarding small vs large. It should read regular and half size. I was imagining small as a regular size banh mi and a large as bigger than a regular size banh mi. We all know what the regular sized banh mi is as a reference. Bread 5/5 Meat 3/5 Butter/pate ratio 3/5 Pickles 3/5 Value 2/5
