Located at 14092 Magnolia St #115, this long-standing shop has become a familiar destination for locals seeking authentic Vietnamese sweets, traditional cakes, and specialty delicacies. Whether you are preparing for Tết, a family gathering, or simply craving a taste of home, Bảo Hiên Rồng Vàng offers a wide selection that reflects generations of Vietnamese culinary tradition.
The bakery is especially well known for its traditional Vietnamese cakes, including bánh cốm (green sticky rice cakes) and bánh gai (black sesame sticky rice cakes), both of which are favorites among returning customers. Many visitors also praise the bánh xu xê, a delicate coconut-filled treat that pairs beautifully with tea. Beyond cakes, the shop carries an impressive variety of dried fruits, candied delicacies, and mứt sen (candied lotus seeds) — items that are particularly popular during the Lunar New Year season. For those looking for something refreshing, sugar cane juice is also available, making it a pleasant stop even on warmer days.
One of the standout qualities of Bảo Hiên Rồng Vàng is its clean, well-organized, and spacious layout. Customers appreciate being able to browse comfortably and find what they need without feeling cramped, which is not always the case in smaller specialty shops. The shopping plaza where the bakery is located offers free parking, though visitors should be aware that it can get crowded during peak hours and holidays. The shop's hours are accommodating, opening as early as 6:00 AM on Wednesdays and Fridays, with standard 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM hours the rest of the week.
As a family-run establishment with deep roots in the Westminster community, Bảo Hiên Rồng Vàng attracts a loyal customer base that values its long history and traditional offerings. It is a popular choice for those purchasing sweets to bring as gifts when traveling out of state — customers have shared stories of packing dozens of bánh cốm into suitcases to share with friends and family in other parts of the country. The shop is especially busy during Vietnamese holidays, when demand for traditional treats is at its highest.
Visitors to Bảo Hiên Rồng Vàng should note that while many customers celebrate the freshness and authenticity of the baked goods, experiences can vary. Some items may be priced higher than expected, reflecting the quality and preparation involved in traditional Vietnamese confections. The shop is best suited for those who appreciate Vietnamese heritage sweets and are looking for a reliable local source in the Westminster area. If you are searching for a bakery in Little Saigon that carries time-honored recipes and a broad selection of Vietnamese delicacies, Bảo Hiên Rồng Vàng is well worth a visit.

Sign in to reviewA go place for holiday dried fruits & delicacies. Also a good place some sugar cane juices. Great plenty selection of dried fruits & other delicacies and well packed. It can be pricey but they have been around for ages (over 4 decades plus I believed). The place is well organized and clean and spacious. Good friendly service. Plenty of parking but can be a challenge during weekends and holidays.
I bought mut sen lotus seeds for tet. Just more than7 days and it got all wet and green molds. I talked to Dung and he said it was " ok to eat" and hung up with no apologies or offer to exchange. Bao hien rong vang changed ownership and quality and reputation so disappointing.now. Feel like being cheated.
Banh com and banh gai were $3 each. The ladies working there were nice and friendly. The banh com and gai were both fresh and delicious. My favorite place to go and buy from now. Free parking but can get very crowded in that shopping plaza.
I bought 100 bánh cốm to bring on the plane. The owner's mother gave me 2 free ones and already packed them. The owner said that they're not free and took them out. She needs to learn customer service etiquette. I should have canceled my order! Will never be back to this awful place.
Their "banh com" and "banh xu xe" are my favorites. I bought them and brought them back to UT every time I visit SoCal.
