Sign in to reviewWithout a doubt, our family is SO happy we stopped here! We got the mini munch grilled cheese, barbacoa grilled cheese and the munch burger. Each item was absolutely delicious! One of our family members loves grilled cheese and said this was 10/10 the best grilled cheese he’s ever had! We each got the handmade chips and they were great as well. Would definitely recommend and wish we weren’t from out of town so we could enjoy it more often! :)
Good service and great food! We got the Munch burger with fries, the Candied jalapeño burger with chips, and Chicken on a stick. The fries were incredible!! Wow. I didn’t like their chips and highly recommend just upgrading to fries. The candied jalapeño burger I thought was better than the munch, but both were very good. They have Stubborn soda’s which I was really excited about and we got the pineapple cream soda. Delicious! The chicken on a stick was good, but too greasy. I did ask for jalapeños and they include cilantro ranch with it. A little on the pricy side but I recommend trying them out!
I'm extremely happy I came across Benjie's. I was intrigued by their food menu and plan to start working down the list. So far it has not disappointed. The barbacoa grilled cheese if my favorite so far. If you're looking for something a little lighter, the BFD is a solid choice. I've tried a couple of their burgers and they have been on point. If you like some good fries, be sure to sub for them as they pair perfectly with just about everything they have. If you're into ranch, don't hesitate to grab a side of the house ranch as it adds a nice touch with its unique flavor.
I came in for the 1st day of San Antonio Burger Week to check in & get extra points. The Burger Week special is the Grilled Cheese Burger. A quarter-pound beef patty inside a cheesy grilled cheese sandwich. Also contains sautéed onions, pickles, & candied jalapeños with V-Boom sauce. Skipped pickles; the jalapeños are sweet & not spicy. V-Boom sauce is mayo & some Sriracha sauce. Soft drinks & iced teas are available, & Burger came with house-made potato chips. Everything was good, & brought leftover burger & chips.
I’ve lived very close to this place for a long time but never tried it. I went in today and ordered the Keto Quesadilla with blackened chicken, it was so freaking good! The staff at the front took time and explained all their menu highlights after I told him it was my first time here. I’m kind of upset I hadn’t tried this place earlier, I’ll for sure be back!
