Biryani Express

Been coming here for at least 7 years. It has progressively gotten worse for the last year. I think im done. The old location was my Saturday afternoon spot for years. But man its gone downhill. I ordered my normal. 1 tikka masala, 1 garlic naan, and an order of samosas. The sauce for the samosas got changed to some mint chutney and it was watery and very bland. The garlic naan was mushy. Usually they use butter and a good amount of garlic but I guess they forgot that this time. It was litterally so wet i couldn't pick it up. The tikka masala was medium. I rotate between spicy and medium. The chicken was chewy. The sauce was unseasoned and not even blended smooth. I paid $25 for below panda express level. I think they got a worse chef. The food used to to be soo good. And the same meal never costed more than $16. Im actually so sad because this was the restaurant I went to for 2 + times a week. I didn't even notice that I went from 2x a week to once every two weeks. This is probably the first time I've been here in two months. I've given up. Im actually bummed at how shit my two favorite restaurants have become. I forgot to mention that the rice container wasn't even full

The service at Biryani Express is excellent, and the food? Phenomenal. We ordered the chicken curry, tandoori chicken, chicken dum biryani, the Manchurian chicken, Chana masala, paneer 65, garlic naan, and the Gulab jamun. Every single dish was delicious. Gulab jamun was over the top amazing- soooo yummy! This place DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!! Two thumbs up! Highly recommend!!

My boyfriend and I come here all the time and he’s left his own review too. However, today I had to make a review to show how kind the owners and workers are here. Chef James gave us two free desserts to try, and they were delicious. I order the chicken tikka masala all the time and it always has me leaving with my stomach full. I love Biryani Express so much, please never change!

Just came back from the lunch buffet at Biryani Express. I was impressed by both the kindness of staff and presentation of the food. Food tasted fresh. The service was outstanding. Our server saw I had my hands full and brought water to my table. On top of that when I said I wanted naan she insisted she bring a fresh batch- which they allowed me to bring home. They were so sweet to my 3 year old who was all over the place. Will definitely be back to get my Indian food fix.

UPDATED REVIEW (Spring 2026) We recently visited Biryani Express in Pearland, TX again. And had such a wonderful experience that I felt compelled to share an updated review. Their weekend brunch buffet is absolutely fantastic—there’s a great variety of dishes satisfying vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out to me, though, was the hospitality. The owners, including the chef, were incredibly warm and attentive. They personally came around to tables, checked in with guests, and genuinely sought feedback. That level of engagement and dedication to customer satisfaction is rare and very impressive. Overall, I left thoroughly impressed and happy with my visit. Between the delicious food and the exceptional service, I will definitely be going back again soon!
