Renee is nothing shy of a miracle worker! I came to see her for a stubborn skin rash that I had had for almost a year. She took a holistic approach to the rash and ran some root cause tests, looking at my gut health and any toxins in my body. She gave me a thorough treatment plan that involved nutrition guidance, Chinese herbal formulas, and supplements. In just 10 days, my skin was the best it had been in months, and it keeps getting better! Thank you Renee!

Renee offers so much more than what she lists on her website! She's the only Chinese medicine doctor I know in the Bay that's an expert in skin issues and functional medicine (FM) for gut issues: a rare find! (FM helped me when Kaiser and my current non-Kaiser primary care physician (PCP) couldn't. Unlike my last FM doctor and a PCP, Renee: 1. Gave me at least twice as much face time to explain my test results and protocol. 2. Recommended blood tests that I didn't even know my doctors didn't test for that used to be routine when I had Kaiser health insurance (e.g., vitamin D, thyroid panel). 3. Recommended a FM test that my last FM doctor never suggested. When I had similar issues after he treated me for two years in a row, he suggested the same two very expensive tests and similar supplements and a harsh pharmaceutical. Renee's test found new issues my other FM doctor wouldn't even have tested for. And she suggested new supplements and even went out of her way to find vegan ones, something my last FM doctor didn't and wouldn't do. 4. Kept varying her Chinese medicine treatment methods based on my results and budget (e.g., herbs, acupuncture, moxa for self-care). She made custom herb blends for me, a skill that I wish was easier to find in acupuncturists. And she told me where I could go for higher quality herbs. 5. Was more thorough! She thinks of everything. For example, she thought of every step I'd have to do for my test and she prepared me ahead of time, such as what days of the week to do my test. My last FM doctor didn't bother to tell me where to mail my bodily fluids or which labs would draw my blood for his special test. So I ended up at one lab for hours while they figured out if they could draw my blood for his test. (I booked an appointment days ago). And I drove to many Fedex stores until I found one that would accept it. With Renee, I was pleasantly surprised that the mail carrier came to my door to pick up my test! 6. Cares more deeply about my mind, body, and spirit. She is a very open-minded and spiritual person, something I wish was easier to find in healers sometimes. I'm so grateful to her!

This is long overdue.. Renee is amazing. She is supportive and knowledgeable and will go the extra mile to help you feel confident and comfortable about the treatment. Her specialty is skin however she is helps with balancing and grounding and stress management as well as depression and anxiety. She also prescribes herbal medicine and will send you referrals and literature. I have had my share of acupuncturists but she is my go to whenever there is a need for a family or a friends. Grateful to her for always being there for my family!
