Very much appreciated a gluten-free dessert option. We came here for the Calas, made from rice flour. I got them without the condensed milk. If you do that, I suggest asking for extra honey, mine were a bit dry but otherwise good. My husband of the Beignets and said they were good too
The food was delicious! Menu is clearly marked as to which items are gluten free. Service was quick and indoor aeating was available. We had the GF BBQ Shrimp Poboy and the GF Chicken and Waffles and had no reaction.
If you are out and need a gluten free place, this may be the best you will find around(I'm not sure) but to us, the chicken was pretty fishy tasting and we weren't fans of the sauce on the bbq shrimp po boy. Over all, this was at the bottom of our list of tasty food. Didn't feel welcoming overall. Price was expensive for what we got. There are more better places close by. The only thing redeeming were the waffles and they were very good, great texture.
If you’re gluten-free and visiting New Orleans, PUT BON’S ON YOUR LIST! 🙌 I had the gluten-free chicken and waffles and honestly… I wasn’t expecting them to be this good. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the waffles were delicious. You’d never guess you were eating a gluten-free version! Finding good gluten-free food in New Orleans can be a challenge, so having a place where you can enjoy Southern comfort food without feeling like you’re missing out is a HUGE win.
The lady working the register was so nice and sweet, she gave me a great recommendation on what to get and it did not disappoint. I got the gumbo street tacos and omg were they amazing! I also tried cane cola and it was also amazing! The outside seating area is also very cute. Would definitely recommend!
