Cutie Japan - Phoenix is a discount store in Phoenix, Arizona, offering a mix of Japanese-themed finds, international snacks, and practical everyday goods. At 1615 W Camelback Rd Ste. 109, Phoenix, AZ 85015, the shop is tucked into a shopping center and may be easy to miss if you have not visited before. Customers describe it as a small store with a wide variety of items, so it can be a useful stop when you have a few different things to pick up or want to browse for an unexpected gift.

The selection includes Japanese snacks and character-themed stationery, along with some Thai and Vietnamese snack options. Examples mentioned by shoppers include Japan-only KitKat flavors and Thailand-only Lay’s chips. You may also find pens featuring Japanese characters and other small gift items. The assortment gives snack fans a chance to look for products they may not see in a typical grocery-store aisle, while the variety can make browsing part of the visit. Inventory may change, so a particular flavor or item is not guaranteed to be available.

Cutie Japan - Phoenix also carries practical low-cost goods beyond snacks and gifts. Reviews mention stationery, hygiene items, plastic cups, serving dishes, and other household or everyday-use products. Shoppers describe the prices as affordable and the range as useful for putting together a random shopping list. The store may suit people looking for small household basics, inexpensive stationery, a casual browse, or a few distinctive items to keep or give as gifts. The space is compact, with narrow aisles, so expect a close-quarters shopping experience rather than a large, open-format store.

Customer experiences are not entirely uniform, particularly around packaged snacks. One reviewer reported that snacks purchased during their visit were stale and said the items were final sale; this is an individual account, not a guarantee of what you will find on a future visit. If freshness or returns matter to your purchase, check package dates and ask about the store’s current return policy before buying. The business has a listed rating of 4.7 from 587 reviews, alongside that specific concern in customer feedback. Cutie Japan - Phoenix is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Check the listed hours before heading to the Camelback Road location, especially if you are planning a visit around a particular product.

It's a small store with a section of Japanese and some Thai and Vietnamese snacks, (Thailand-only Lay chips, or Japan-only KitKat, for example) as well as Japanese character pens, and gifts etc. A large part of the store , however, is just cheap dollar store type stuff like stationary, plastic cups, napkins, some knock -off anime character trinkets, etc. Some have Japanese or Chinese writing or patterns but ultimately nothing that special. Come for the snacks (also has refrigerated Japanese cakes, drinks, etc -nice!) but don't expect a massive high end Japanese grocery store.

I had never heard of this store until I saw a video about it on Instagram. I was so excited to go here. Turns out, it's located in a shopping center I've been visiting for years! I just never noticed Cutie tucked away in the corner. This store is small and the aisles are narrow. However, it is stocked full of so many cute and fun things. Cutie sells snacks, drinks, ingredients for meals, stickers, cute and serious office and school supplies, baby items, health and beauty items, home goods, automotive and camping supplies, and kitchenware. There's even a tiny clearance section for food! It's really a lot packed into the small store. Most items are priced at $1.75, which I guess is approximately the equivalent of 100 yen. Items that cost more (or less) are clearly marked. I bought Hello Kitty stickers to share with a friend, some reduced price snacks, and a bottle of vegan oyster sauce that was reduced almost $4! Wow! The workers were super friendly and seemed excited when my friend and I said it was our first time there. I would love to shop here again, and I want to check out the other Cutie location, which I've heard is bigger.

We were excited to shop for Japanese snacks here. However, we spent $50 on snacks, all are final sale and all were very stale. If your store is final sale only you *need* to keep up on the expiration dates. Super frustrating.
