CVS Pharmacy is a local pharmacy located at 2187 Shattuck Ave. in Berkeley, CA 94704. For people searching for a pharmacy in Berkeley, California, this location provides an in-town option for pharmacy-related needs at its Shattuck Avenue address. Its setting may suit nearby residents, students, workers, and visitors who want to stop by during the listed daytime pharmacy hours rather than travel farther across the city.

The posted schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and closed Sunday. Because the daily service window is limited, it is helpful to plan a visit early and confirm hours before making a special trip. Calling ahead can also be a practical step for anyone with a time-sensitive question or a specific item or service in mind. Checking details in advance can help make a pharmacy visit more straightforward.

Vaccinations are one of the services discussed in customer feedback for this CVS Pharmacy in Berkeley. Experiences described in reviews are mixed: one customer noted that a pharmacist went beyond expectations to help correct an appointment-location mistake and receive a requested vaccination at this store. Other reviewers reported difficulty obtaining same-day vaccine service or found that vaccine inventory shown in the app did not match what was available. These accounts suggest that vaccine appointments, walk-in availability, and inventory may vary, so confirming the current process directly with the pharmacy is advisable.

With a 2.9 rating from 54 reviews in the provided data, CVS Pharmacy has feedback that reflects both helpful assistance and concerns about customer interactions, product selection, and stock. One review specifically mentioned limited availability of natural hair products, making it sensible to verify availability before visiting for a particular item. This Berkeley pharmacy may be a practical choice for people who value a centrally located Shattuck Avenue stop and can plan around its short daytime hours. Visitors looking for vaccinations or hard-to-find products may have the best experience by confirming availability first.

The staff here are so mean and not respectful at all. I needed a flu shot. Flu shot is normally walk-in and takes less than 5 minutes. I asked for same day appointment, and they were scheduling it for another day. The pharmacist said “I don’t do walk-ins”. I got my flu shot in safeway pharmacy right away by walk-in.

Pharmacist was incredibly rude to us for no reason and their vaccine inventory listed in the app was inaccurate.

I have been using CVS pharmacy for ~20+ years in California and ~10 years at this location 2187 Shattuck Avenue and not once have i had a bad experience with the pharmacist until now... The male pharmacist was beyond rude and does not know how to act professionally. I was wondering who the CVS pharmacy manager at this Target location is because i want to make a complaint; i was embarrassed. These pharmacists should understand when we have questions or concerns about medications we never taken before; they should not be rude, impatient, or unhelpful. Stressful enough when we are dealing with an health issue that scares us; a little kindness goes a long way.

I would not be leaving this review were it not for the nasty discovery I just made. At first I was just disappointed because this CVS location seemed to be low on all of their "natural hair" products. I couldn't find what I was looking for, so opted for an alternate. Three days later, I finally went to open the product I purchased and found SOMEONE ELSE'S HAIR ALREADY IN IT. Clearly someone opened this in the store, used it, and even left one of their own hairs sitting right on top of the curl cream. It's disturbing and disgusting to know that people are doing this. I don't want CVS following people around the store, but they clearly are too low staffed to even notice if people are straight up using the products in the store. I'll never be back to this CVS.

The main pharmacist, a middle aged Asian male, went above and beyond his duty to get me the vaccination I requested. I had mistakenly signed up to get it at the University Ave location. He helped me get it here. Can’t thank him enough.
