Danh's Kitchen is a Vietnamese restaurant in Portland, Oregon, at 7815-7821 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR 97206. It is a neighborhood stop for Vietnamese cooking, with customer reviews especially calling attention to its soup noodle dishes, Hu Tiu Nam Vang, and rice vermicelli plates. Reviewers describe the flavors as authentic and the broth as clean, aromatic, and comforting. The restaurant has a 4.7 rating from 91 reviews, offering local diners a useful starting point as they decide where to enjoy Vietnamese food in southeast Portland.

Noodle soup is a particular reason customers recommend Danh's Kitchen. One reviewer says the soup noodle dish is what the kitchen does best, while another calls the Hu Tiu Nam Vang a legitimate choice and a dish worth trying. The reviews also speak warmly about the broth and the care evident in the food. If you are deciding what to order, these customer favorites offer a concrete place to start. The menu details provided here do not list every preparation or ingredient, so it is best to ask the restaurant about current options and any preferences when ordering.

Rice vermicelli is another customer-highlighted choice. A reviewer recalls a flavorful, reasonably priced vermicelli plate as one of the best they had enjoyed in years. Other diners have noticed combination noodle dishes at nearby tables and found them tempting, too. Together, those comments suggest a place suited to a relaxed meal where you can take time to choose among noodle-focused dishes. Customers also mention ordering party trays, making Danh's Kitchen relevant to people looking for Vietnamese food to share, as well as diners who want to sit down for a meal.

The setting is small and informal, with a handful of tables for dine-in meals. Customers describe it as cramped at times, and reviews caution that seating and parking are limited; one reviewer reports only two parking spaces, including one designated for disabled parking. Planning ahead may help, especially if you are visiting with a group or hoping to dine in. Service, on the other hand, earns positive mention, with a reviewer describing it as top notch. The overall picture is of a compact restaurant where the food and attentive service are central to the experience.

Danh's Kitchen is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Its location on SE Powell Boulevard makes it an option for Portland residents and visitors seeking Vietnamese noodle soup, Hu Tiu Nam Vang, rice vermicelli, or party trays. Whether you are stopping by for a sit-down meal or planning an order to share, customer feedback points to authentic Southern Vietnamese flavors and a welcoming level of service. Because the dining room and parking are limited, consider the practical details before your visit and check directly with the restaurant for current menu and ordering information.

The food is pretty good, but definitely a little less meat than some other places. Super authentic taste. The soup noodle dish they serve is what they’re best at. Service was top notch. Place is a little cramped and there is only two parking spots, one is for disabled parking so you may need to find street parking.

This place may be small, but it carries the soul of Vietnam in every detail. From the moment the food hits the table, you can tell this is not about shortcuts—it’s about authenticity and care. The dishes are beautifully presented and full of life. The broth is clean, aromatic, and deeply comforting, exactly how it should be. The herbs are fresh, vibrant, and generous, bringing everything together the way a proper Vietnamese meal does. Every bite feels balanced and intentional, not overcomplicated, just done right. What stands out most is how real it feels. The menu, the flavors, even the way everything is served—it brings you back. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try too hard, because it doesn’t need to. Simple space, serious flavor. That’s the identity. If you’re looking for something flashy, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for honest, well-executed Vietnamese food that respects tradition, this place delivers. A quiet gem that speaks through its food.

I've always known this place as a place to order party trays from. They do, forever, have a handful of tables where you can sit and dine in for a meal. Their Hu Tiu Nam Vang is pretty legit and a meat try. I got mine half rice noodle and …

One of the best tasting Rice vermicelli plates I have had in years! Reasonably priced, and full of flavor. The only problem was that I was having some serious FOMO looking at the combination noodle dish the table over was enjoying.
