I would not return here. The croissants are not homemade and the other desserts did not seem homemade on location either. The halloumi and zaatar croissant did not have halloumi and was not freshly made. Really disappointing. I have no idea how these reviews are all so positive. The coffee was also from a machine that you press a button. Would not recommend. Editing to respond to the store response - the croissants do not seem homemade from scratch and if they are they don’t taste like it to me. Also to be clear, to me, a homemade croissant is different than baked in house. Baked in house can mean you bought the dough frozen or some kind of other premade version. I was just expecting a different experience. I’m sorry if they are baked from scratch in house. That’s just my opinion based on how they looked and tasted. When I said it’s not freshly made, I meant that it was sitting in a display case and it’s self service that you grab with tongs. When I saw the large kitchen space, I thought it would be prepared when I ordered it. That’s not the end of the world of course. I just thought others might want to know when to expect. It would seem odd that something with fresh halloumi would be sitting out so I was surprised when I ordered and was pointed to the display cases. The croissant did seem “prepared” in house to be fair, in that you added the cheese that is not halloumi and the zaatar filing. I did not notice a fresh smell myself but I’m glad other customers enjoy it! I generally only want to uplift a small business so I’m glad many others enjoy it. I’m just giving my opinion here. The picture is right there. It’s clearly not halloumi at a minimum (or at least not any halloumi I am familiar with). It’s definitely coffee from a machine - it’s sitting right next to the register. I also find it weird this reply says that you confirmed with your store manager that it’s made in house. Who are you if you don’t know that already? I wish you all the best in your bakery endeavors, whoever you are. Editing 2- FYI everyone, the owner changed their reply to me. They had posted a long reply, including saying that they checked with the store manger and confirmed they bake three times a day and that people love the aroma of fresh baked goods. Really really weird. You be the judge!

After seeing its video on social media and reading the high ratings on Google, we had high expectations for visiting this recently opened cafe. However, our experience was somewhat disappointing. The cafe seemed to be in the final stages of setup, with no exterior signage except for banners. Finding the place and navigating in and out was a bit confusing, and there was some dust on the tables, giving an overall impression of ongoing preparations. It also didn't appear to be fully clean. They lacked a proper coffee machine for making higher-quality coffee drinks, and the cafe latte, which wasn't made properly by a trained barista, was stronger than expected. The pricing didn’t seem to match the quality offered. The desserts were pleasant and sweet, but didn't compare to the standards of other French cafes we've visited, including those in France during our travels. Their homemade fruit juice was also quite sweet. Overall, the value didn't fully align with the prices. Since it’s new, we hope they will make improvements and look forward to revisiting it in the future.

The outside does not reflect the inside...! Authentic, pastries and breads (I lived in France for a while), tasty, large variety, super clean, inside and outside seating, small not chain, local, owned by a person not a corporation, make to order available (with some lead time). When the owner's father is running the café, strike up a conversation; former orthopedic surgeon and quite a conversationalist! Pictures from a Sunday morning before any other customers.

We stopped by De Ma Vie for breakfast while in town for a wedding, and found the food to be so good, we came back the next day! The environment is very welcoming, and the hospitality is great. They are still in their soft openening, so definitely be patient with the staff as they're getting things organized, but it is well worth the visit.

I stopped by on a Saturday morning, excited to try this place, recommended by one of the NOVA foodies on IG. When I walked in, it was dark, the pastries were limited and did not look fresh. There was no drink menu on the screen. I did not purchase anything. Additionally, we were not greeted on arrival. We were greeted as we were walking out the door. The furniture was modern and clean but that’s my only compliment.
